Kristin Cavallari And Jay Cutler Split Due To His Controlling Ways

« David Hasselhoff Has Birthday Fun With Media | Home July 25, 2011 01:17 PM by Donna Lucas They say in the sports world that quarterbacks take control on the field, but in the case of Kristin Cavallari, it looks like Jay Cutler was just as controlling off the field as well. According to friends who knew the couple socially, Jay Cutler was making things difficult for his former fiancee even before he called off their engagement recently. It seems that Jay Cutler was extremely controlling when it came to Kristin Cavallari going out with her friends. According to sources, when Kristin Cavallari did go out, he would demand where she was, who she was with, and want to know exactly when she was coming home. Jay Cutler actually threatened Kristin Cavallari with choosing between him and her friends. Its apparent on which decision she made. When one person controls the other in a relationship, its bound to cause problems and eventually breakups. The couple met last summer and the wedding

David Hasselhoff Has Birthday Fun With Media

« Food Network Star: Interview With Eliminated Chef Jyll Everman | Home | Kristin Cavallari And Jay Cutler Split Due To His Controlling Ways » July 25, 2011 01:15 PM by Donna Lucas The question lingers: Did David Hasselhoff pull a fast one on the media over the weekend? According to sources, this was a celebration birthday weekend of David Hasselhoff’s 59th birthday with Saturday appearances at Encore Beach Club and Blush Boutique Nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas. Here’s where it gets tricky; the news broke that security was called to his Wynn suite that there was a domestic disturbance with David Hasselhoff blowing up at his girlfriend, Hayley Roberts. It seems believable that could happen, both were struggling with jet lag with traveling from Europe and all. Don’t forget that David Hasselhoff does have a history of going off the deep end. But at the red carpet event that was planned at 11:30 pm, the media was waiting for basically a spectacle of a train wreck, what happened next wa

Hacking scandal finds its way to America's Got Talent

The increasingly dramatic hacking scandal that led Rupert Murdoch to close his 168-year-old News of the World newspaper and has resulted in several arrests found its way to American reality television last night. On America’s Got Talent , Howie Mandel referenced it, because Piers edited the News of the World and the Daily Mirror in the 1990s. After an act performed and Piers Morgan praised it, Howie Mandel said, “Piers, that’s what I was going to say. I don’t know how you got those comment; you must have hacked me or something.” Yesterday, Piers was accused in Parliament by MP Louise Mensch of hacking people’s phones while he edited The Daily Mirror, which is not published by Murdoch, citing something Piers wrote in his book —but in the book, Piers actually writes about potentially being the victim of voice mail hacking, not about actually doing it. “For the record, at my time at the Mirror and the News of the World I have never hacked a phone, told any body to hack a phone or publis

Jousting in armor on horseback: the next History Channel competition series

The History Channel is casting for a new reality competition that will feature jousting in armor. Full Metal Jousting is described as a “hard-hitting competition [that] will recreate the raw, crushing force of hardcore jousting battles by arming 16 fierce competitors with lances, armor and a 2,000-pound war horse,” with the winner receiving $100,000. Besides the fact that sounds awesome, the show is being produced by Pilgrim Films & Television, which also produces the excellent Top Shot for History, so it will probably be done well. Pilgrim is casting for “America’s toughest and bravest”; if you apply, “you don’t need to be an experienced jouster,” but must be “a skilled horseback rider and have the heart of a warrior,” according to the casting notice . Here’s its teaser trailer: View the original article here

Dancing With The Stars Upgrading Stars For Season 13

« Jennifer Lopez Closing In On American Idol Deal | Home July 25, 2011 07:00 AM by Kristin Watson Dancing with the Stars is looking to upgrade its stars for season 13, but does that mean the likes of Tom Cruise will be busting a move? Probably not! Read on to find out why the selective casting might be throwing a wrench in our plans to watch some d-listers shake their butts. Let’s face it, the casting on Dancing with the Stars hasn’t been of the highest quality in recent seasons and we mean no harm by that. But when we think of stars, we think of people like Justin Timberlake and Jessica Alba. Will they ever dance for the mirror ball trophy? Maybe not, but according to some scuttlebutt from TMZ, the producers are looking for more “high profile” names. Well, that certainly blows the gossip that Snooki is heading to the ABC reality show out of the water. So, how do producers plan to lock these big name celebrities? Word has it they’ll have control of their rehearsal schedule and ho

Idol creator Simon Fuller sues Fox over X Factor

X Factor »     by Andy Dehnart / July 20, 2011, 4:04 PM American Idol and Pop Idol creator Simon Fuller is suing Fox and The X Factor producer FremantleMedia, asking a court to give him an executive producer credit on the new series. Yes, there’s more headline-generating drama about a series that’s still months away from actually airing. In 2004, Fuller sued Cowell for copyright infringement , claiming that Cowell’s new show was similar. According to Deadline’s report , the new lawsuit says that, “Fearing that Fuller’s lawsuit with Cowell could have a ruinous effect on American Idol and other business interests, Fox interceded in the dispute and brokered a settlement” and “contractually promised that when X Factor aired in the Untied [sic] States, Fuller would receive an executive producer credit on X Factor and would be paid an executive producer fee for X Factor ‘commensurate with his duties and stature in the entertainment industry.’” But in a statement, Fox said, “Mr. Fuller has

Amy Winehouse cause of death not yet known – autopsy result ‘inconclusive’

Home > News > Amy Winehouse cause of death not yet known – autopsy result ‘inconclusive’ July 25th, 2011 by Lisa McGarry. No comments It seems that the friends and family of Amy Winehouse may have to wait another month or so to find out how the star died. The ‘Rehab’ hitmaker was found dead in her North London home on Saturday afternoon and because of the ‘unexplained’ nature of her passing, a post mortem was ordered. Associated Press have tonight reported that the results of the initial autposy is in and the results were inconclusive. They added that additional toxicology tests will be needed and these may take two to four weeks to complete. It was also announced this evening that Amy will be buried tomorrow, though the spokesperson for her family would not give details of the time or date. The burial was made possible by a coroner yesterday, who adjourned the inquest into Amy’s death until October, because there was nothing to make police suspect suspicious circumstances or

Behind the scenes of Hoarders: Randyland

Hoarders »     by Andy Dehnart / July 19, 2011, 10:02 AM Half of last night’s episode of Hoarders profiled Randy Senna, the proprietor of Randyland in Wildwood, New Jersey. (The other half profiled Vicki, a hoarder who essentially rejected the help that she desperately needs; her conflict with the crew and her family made Randy and Matt Paxton’s conflict seem inconsequential.) The episode filmed over the weekend of March 25, and I was there for two full days and part of the final day to write about the show for Playboy . The article covers a lot of the behind-the-scenes interaction, and some of what happened on camera, including Randy and Matt’s fight, which lasted more than 25 minutes in real life—longer than Randy’s story took to play out during the episode. (You can watch it online or download an HD version .) I actually have a cameo in the episode, despite my best efforts to remain behind the cameras at all times: Right after the 40-minute mark, before Randy and Matt fight about

Amy Winehouse funeral confirmed – singer to be buried tomorrow

Home > News > Amy Winehouse funeral confirmed – singer to be buried tomorrow July 25th, 2011 by Lisa McGarry. No comments A spokesperson for Amy Winehouse’s parents has just confirmed that the star’s funeral will be held tomorrow. After a coroner adjourned an inquest into Amy’s death yesterday and gave her family permission to make burial arrangements, they have decided to conduct a private service for friends and close family members tomorrow. The representative said that no details concerning the time or location of the service would be provided and asked for the family to be given some privacy to grieve at this time. It was always expected that the funeral would be held as soon as possible, as Jewish families normally prefer to bury their loved ones within 24 hours of death. Amy’s was delayed as a post-mortem had to take place in order to discover the cause of her death. It is expected that Winehouse’s close friend Kelly Osbourne will be at the ceremony tomorrow, as the st

Bear Grylls "shaken" by fake storm created using wind machines

Man vs. Wild ’s has already been revealed to be frequently staged . And while there is some real danger , Bear Grylls’ complaint about the intensity of a recent situation is pretty hilarious considering it was faked. The L.A. Times reports that “Grylls, attempting to re-create a storm in northern Norway, had the show’s producers amp up the drama by using massive wind machines — and the result was almost more than Grylls could take.” “They blasted the hell out of me, and I thought I could get a shelter and fire going, but I just got beaten by this thing and was really shaken,” he recalled, speaking last week from his native England, where he said he had just finished wrangling a horse in from the rain. “The emotion was there because I thought, ‘The reality is, if you found yourself in this situation, you’re dead.’ I have that feeling loads, where I’m thinking, ‘What am I doing?’ But I keep a laminated picture of my family in the sole of my shoe, and their smiles remind me to stop comp

Big Brother lost 1 million viewers since the premiere; Expedition Impossible lost 2.4m

Big Brother 13 started strong, with ratings that were higher than last summer’s debut, but while the show continues to win its timeslot during the slow summer months, about 1 million viewers have fled the show, perhaps to avoid hearing Rachel’s laugh. But the show easily beat Mark Burnett’s Expedition Impossible , which hit a series low in its ratings Thursday. While 7.71 million viewers watched Big Brother’s July 7 debut, an a 5 percent increase from last summer’s debut, only 6.73 million watched Cassi’s exit Thursday night, according to a CBS press release , which notes that “was the night’s top program in viewers and key demographics, posting across-the-board increases from last week.” That was down from 7.02 million people on Wednesday, but up from the previous live episode, which only had 6.48 million viewers . Again, though, the show keeps winning its timeslot, even though there isn’t much competition in the summer. While the show has a hard-core online audience, the broadcast

HBO's Hard Knocks won't air this year because of NFL lockout

Hard Knocks , the HBO reality series that follows a football team’s pre-season training, won’t be filmed this year because of the NFL lockout. The network had scheduled the new season’s debut for August 10. Sports Illustrated’s Peter King reported that there will be “No ‘Hard Knocks’ this year.” This won’t be the first time the show has taken a break; it didn’t air new seasons from 2003 to 2006. Earlier, Sporting News reported that “several teams have reportedly declined the opportunity to have their training camp life featured on the HBO Sports’ documentary series, [but] the network is optimistic about carrying on with the show while following the progress in the league’s ongoing labor negotiations.” A network spokesperson told Sporting News, “We are monitoring developments and remain hopeful of presenting a new season of ‘Hard Knocks.’ Beyond that we are not going to speculate.” Hard Knocks followed the New York Jets last year, and a press release noted that the show is “one of
