The Huffington Post has corrected a badly reported story that accused former Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel of lying about how much she sold her company for, which was never confirmed but estimated to be $120 million . Huffington Post blogger Rob Shuter seems to have a real hate-on for Bethenny, first using an odd blog post with a summarized interview to claim she lied about being stranded at sea with her Bravo reality show crew, and then insisting “Bethenny still won’t earn anywhere near $120 million” and saying she “might not be as successful as she’d like us to believe.” In his most recent story , Shuter wrote that “Bethenny Frankel has been caught distorting the truth for a second time in one week.” But it turns out Shuter was the one distorting the truth. His original report said Bethenny received just $8.1 million for her company, using a line he found in a quarterly report from Fortune Brands , which bought Skinnygirl earlier this year. X Factor »     by Andy Dehnart / August 9, 2011, 8:11 AM An 86-year-old man, his 78-year-old wife, and 54-year-old son have sued Fox’s The X Factor and Simon Cowell, claiming that he was eliminated from the competition because he was too exhausted from all the filming the show had him do prior to his audition. The lawsuit “claims that the Hyman clan was made to film a segment numerous times, in which they were made to walk from a car into Miami’s Bank United Center while a camera filmed multiple takes. Between the 96-degree heat, Hyman’s age and Stephen’s asthma, the suit alleges, the regimen equaled disaster,” according to The Wrap . The judges rejected them, and Simon apparently cited their age and exhaustion. Interestingly, instead of money, they want to be able to audition again—although if they can’t have that, they want $1 million each. While this seems like a frivolous lawsuit, it’s kind of interesting, at least in the way it exposes the way those American Idol-style packages...
