No comments Following outstanding ratings BBC One Controller, Danny Cohen, announces Call The Midwife has been re commission ed for a second series from Neal Street Productions. Call The Midwife has captured the hearts of audiences on Sunday nights at 8pm, the series opener last week consolidated at 9.8million viewers making it BBC One’s highest launch episode of a new drama on record. With last night’s episode averaging a massive 8.6 million as audiences tuned in to see Miranda Hart join the cast of nursing nuns. No comments Comedian Jack Whitehall has vowed to hit the gym if his new comedy ‘Fresh Meat’ gets a second series. Jack, who plays the role of uni student JP in the E4 comedy – which was written by the Peep Show’s Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong – made the pledge because he’s spent a good deal of the first series appearing naked. He told the PA, “Well, I didn’t go to the gym. The Glee Project is the summer’s best new reality competition series, and its stars and producer faced TV critics this morning, and had good news: the series is likely coming back for a second season. Also, more than one of the cast members could end up on Glee, though that would kind of negate the purpose of the competition. Asked if more than the winner might be cast on Glee, casting director Robert Ulrich said “anything is possible, but there is one winner.” He noted that the winner’s “seven-episode arc is more than most of the kids on Glee,” who are series regulars, get during the season. Ulrich also said that The Glee Project cast are “all wonderful enough to have that chance, and as a casting director, I would keep them in mind for everything else that I do.” That’s good news for the talented group of contestants, who make really compelling reality show characters, which is part of why the series works so well. Will Kirby, the winner of Big Brother 2, has posted a message saying he will not appear on the 13th season of the show this summer as one of its three returning duos of past houseguests . He is listed on CBS.com as one of six possible returning couples, but executive Alison Grodner, who has promised a second twist (which can only be a good thing, considering how uninspired the first one is), said that the duos did not come from producers. Grodner told We Love Big Brother that there’s a second twist. As to the duos, she said they are going to be “notorious twosomes, power couples, potentially; pairs that have been aligned that have really stood out,” but would not confirm that there will be three duos. She said there are “two twists going on that are part of the same them this season that has the game being played quite differently right off the bat.” That sounded to me like the non-returnees might be paired, too, except Grodner said there will be “a twist to the game” itself. « The Real Housewives of Miami | Home | The X Factor: Auditions Begin » February 7, 2011 11:00:20 by Christine McDow Bravo announced this week that the sweet counter part to Top Chef and TCM, Top Chef Just Desserts, will be back for a second season!  This is great news.  Who doesn’t love chocolate, and cake, and chocolate, and pies, and chocolate… It will be summer time at least however before the show is back on the air.  The first open casting call for this sweet show is February 27th.  The last is on March 14th.  Even if they were able to start filming by April 1st, which is pretty unrealistic, the soonest they could probably start airing is sometime in June.  Would you like to try to get on the show?  See the schedule below.  Good luck! After the pilot episode of the medieval fantasy dram aired on Sunday night, the US TV network ordered a second season. They made the same decision after the première of Boardwalk Empire in 2010. The series, based on author George R. R. Martin’s best-selling A Song of Ice and Fire series of novels, chronicles the violent dynastic struggles among noble families for control of the Iron Throne of Westeros. Speaking about the recommission decision, HBO’s president Michael Lombardo said: “We are delighted by the way [writers] David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have brought George R.R. It appears that the racers will either be dealing with mud or manure, as the preview shows Kisha and Jen getting their hands dirty.  Jen remarks, “The crap you do for a million dollars.”  They are not the only unhappy racers.  Amidst gridlocked traffic and honking car horns, Zev can’t believe his ears and mutters, “I don’t like this place.”  Will these teams get it together and stay in the race? No comments via press release: BBC One’s brand new hit comedy Mrs Brown’s Boys, which is a BBC Vision Production, has been recommissioned for a second series by Danny Cohen, Controller, BBC One, and Cheryl Taylor, Controller, Comedy Commissioning. Mrs Brown’s Boys is currently airing on BBC One and is written by and stars comedian Brendan O’Carroll. The series was based on the sell-out theatre show which stars Brendan as Agnes Brown, a Dublin matriarch who just can’t resist interfering in the lives of her family and friends. The cast of the television show features the regular cast of Mrs Brown’s Boys on stage, and includes Brendan’s real-life wife Jennifer Gibney as Cathy, his daughter Fiona O’Carroll as Maria, his son Danny O’Carroll as Buster, and his sister Eilish O’Carroll as Winnie McGoogan. Addressing the failure of Dancing with the Stars spin-off Skating with the Stars, ABC’s entertainment president threatened/teased us by calling its premiere season its “first season,” as if ABC might actually attempt a second. Earlier this week, Paul Lee told TV critics that he thinks the show failed because “we were probably too similar,” and added, “maybe we put them too close together, or we made something whose DNA was really too close together even though the brief before going in there was, ‘Hey, we have this fabulous, culturally defining show. We’d love to extend it.’” He said that it premiered so close to Dancing with the Stars that the comparisons hurt Skating with the Stars. “You were comparing a show at the height of its power, with a fabulous cast, with the first season of a show that hadn’t yet gotten that level of casting and that level of self-confidence, and that was a difficult comparison,” he said. The upcoming 15th season of The Bachelor has been spoiled by Steve Carbone, who wrote that after being cut from E!’s Bachelor special , he will “just continue to piss on their franchise by giving away spoilers.” Steve summarizes the season in more than 4,500 words, all the way through the final rose ceremony, when Brad makes his final decision. He has details of things such as the producer-prompted slap from the first woman to exit the limo, which has been teased in the promo below, and on specific dates, including one that happened after Brad was re-introduced on Dancing with the Stars. After apologizing for getting The Bachelorette 6’s ending wrong , Steve writes, “You may doubt all you want, and technically I won’t be vindicated until March 14th when it airs, but I’m not the least bit worried.
