The Fashion Show Ultimate Collection: Stefan’s Vision For Week Six

« Denise Richards-It’s Complicated: Denise Richards Dishes on Santa and her Hot Moms Potluck Dinner | Home | The Bachelor: Meet Chantal and Cristy » December 24, 2010 12:00:40 by Lori Wilson The Fashion Show Ultimate Collection’s Lost and Found challenge this past week left a lot to be desired by the judges. Even fashion show producer Stefan was disappointed in the quality of work that went down his beautifully constructed runways. However, he had fun bringing the themes and the two fashion houses’ visions to life. Keep on reading to find out more about what went into Stefan’s weekend getaway themed catwalks. “After my consult with Nami,” the Bravo reality TV star explained on his blog, “I turned the tables a bit. I came up with a fictional “WHY BE BORED AT THE RAINY BEACH WHEN YOU CAN PARTY IN THE SIZZLING CITY?!” story of a poor little rich girl who was trapped in the Hamptons on a rainy chilling weekend and planned her escape, via Islip airport and landing at JFK, on her private je

12 days of reality TV: 12 reader suggestions, from Erik giving up immunity on Survivor to The Real World's Pedro

And we’ve reached the end of the 12 Days of Reality TV, a celebration of the gifts reality TV has given us that’s only loosely connected to the song it borrows its name from. Today’s gifts come from you. There were so many great suggestions it was difficult to narrow them down to 12, but I loved reading them all, and was thrilled that so many were on my list of highlights, too. And perhaps as a 13th gift, I’m grateful that reality TV has given me all of you, whether you’re reading, commenting, or disagreeing, interaction with smart people who watch and think about what they watch is something I never thought would come of reality blurred when I created it 10 years ago this past July. So, thanks for all your suggestions (and congrats to Jeremy, who won the box of re-giftable swag, from a David Hasselhoff calendar to a Dancing with the Stars book), and thanks for reading this year. Happy holidays—Christmas, belated Hanukkah, and any other co-opted pagan holiday you choose to celebrate—e

Eastenders toned down Ronnie Branning cot death scenes!

December 24th, 2010 by Lisa McGarry. No comments ‘EastEnders’ bosses have toned down the soap’s harrowing cot death scenes. In the episodes of the BBC One show – set to be aired on New Year’s Eve (31.12.10) and New Year’s Day (01.01.11) – Ronnie Branning will discover her newborn baby dead before swapping it with Kat Moon’s child but producers have made small edits to the programme after preview audiences found it too distressing. Scenes where Ronnie (Samantha Womack) is seen holding the hand of her dead son and Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) finds Kat (Jessie Wallace) in blood-soaked pyjamas due to haemorrhaging in bed after giving birth have been removed from the episode planned for broadcast. The sound of Kat’s baby crying while Ronne walks across the square after discovering her baby has died has also been edited out. Executive producer Bryan Kirkwood, explained their decision to alter the episode after a preview screening, saying: “We’re very aware of the need to deal with such an emo

Survivor: Nicaragua — Holly Surprised Herself Coming In 4th Place

« Dancing with the Stars: Brandy Norwood on Her Christmas Dilemma | Home December 24, 2010 04:00:25 by Ryan Haidet I have interviewed many Survivor contestants since season 13, but one thing I realized while standing on the red carpet after the finale for Survivor: Nicaragua last weekend — many members of the cast are extremely tall — especially fourth-place finisher Holly Hoffman.  This resulted in an interesting start to my interview with Holly who offered to take her shoes off to do the interview so the angle on camera would look a bit more level.  Once we got beyond that goofy moment (she kept her shoes on since the carpet was soggy from the constant rain), Holly discussed many portions of the game starting with her struggles early on when she wanted to quit the competition.  She also explained how champion NFL coach Jimmy Johnson helped keep her motivated before detailing why she stole Dan’s shoes and set them adrift in the ocean. Read on to watch video of the interview on the re

Coronation Street: Gail McIntyre and Tracy Barlow have a catfight

December 24th, 2010 by Lisa McGarry. No comments ‘Coronation Street’ viewers will see Gail McIntyre and Tracy Barlow have a catfight in sensational scenes over Christmas. The Weatherfield stalwart (Helen Worth) will attack street super-bitch (Kate Ford) when she sees her in the Rovers Return pub following her release from prison. Gail wants revenge after Tracy tried to frame her for the murder of her late husband Joe McIntyre. The attack will be witnessed by everyone in the pub, putting Gail in the frame when Tracy is found bludgeoned and covered in blood on New Year’s Eve (31.12.10). She will be discovered lying unconscious in the street by ex-lover Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson), who will also be a suspect as well as his wife Becky McDonald. A production source previously said: “Anyone expecting things to calm down in the wake of the tram crash is in for a shock. The coming weeks are set to be a rollercoaster, climaxing in a huge drama on New Year’s Eve when someone attempts to murd

Dancing with the Stars: Brandy Norwood on Her Christmas Dilemma

« Top Chef: Tom Colicchio Urges Chefs to Speak Up! | Home | Survivor: Nicaragua — Holly Surprised Herself Coming In 4th Place » December 24, 2010 03:00:37 by Shayla Perry Singer Brandy Norwood, who appeared on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, had a bit of a problem this Christmas. Her 8-year-old daughter, Sy’rai, stopped believing in Santa, and started thinking BIG when it came to her Christmas wish list. What did she ask for this year, and is Brandy planning on giving in to her demands? “I got her list, and it is ridiculous. When she believed in Santa, she had a smaller list, but now that she knows I’m Santa Claus, she went crazy. Now, she wants a Blackberry and an iPhone 4. It’s like, ‘Little girls, you are 8, and you’re asking for a Blackberry?’” Brandy told PopEater.com. But the singer and reality star said that those weren’t the only things on her daughter’s list. She also asked for a few other things that were not only more reasonable, but pretty sweet. “It was so cute. She also as

American Idol: Steven Tyler Says Jennifer Lopez is “Ridiculous” and “Street”–In a Good Way

« The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills: Kelsey Grammer Files to Block Camille Grammer from His Accounts | Home | Skating With The Stars: Jonny Moseley At Squaw Valley » December 24, 2010 09:00:07 by Shayla Perry Despite rumors of diva-like behavior on the set, Steven Tyler says that his American Idol co-star, Jennifer Lopez, is exactly what he thought she’d be–”ridiculous” and “street.” But he doesn’t mean it in a bad way! “First and foremost, she’s a lady and she’s not afraid to show that any given time,” said Steven Tyler of pop-star Jennifer Lopez earlier this month at the Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, D.C.. “She’s ridiculous. You know, she’s exactly what I thought she’d be. She’s street.” But rest assured, the 62-year-old Aerosmith frontman meant it all with love as he dished with Us Magazine about what it’s been like sitting at the judges’ table with Jennifer Lopez this season. And though Steven Tyler says that Lopez has been “incredible” when it comes to being honest with

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills: The After Parties

There are two big social events on the Housewives’ calendars in tonight’s episode–Lisa’s fashion show fundraiser and Taylor’s Roaring ’20s costume party–which of course means double the drama. What did you miss? The episode begins with Adrienne Maloof, Kyle Richards, and Kim Richards, each recounting the events of Camille Grammer’s dinner party to the husbands (and Kim talking to her daughter). Ashes to Ashes: Philip Glenister thinks David Cameron stole Gene Hunt’s ideas!

December 22nd, 2010 by Lisa McGarry. No comments Philip Glenister has claimed that Tory leader David Cameron tried to pass some of his ideas off as his own during his general election campaign. The actor, who shot to fame as tough talking cop Gene Hunt on BBC’s Ashes to Ashes admitted that he met the political bigwig months before the election and gave him some advice on how to reform UK policing. Philip said: “He asked, ‘When you speak to the police do you get much feedback?’ I said, ‘Basically, they get too much paperwork. They want to be out catching the crims. That’s why Gene Hunt’s so popular with them.’ “He went, ‘Absolutely, of course’. Six months later he’s on radio saying exactly what I said. B*****d nicked my line!” Phil, who will return to our screens in January in Sky1's Mad Dogs, also hit out at the BBC over the slashing of budgets of successful dramas such as Ashes. Eastenders boss defends Kat & Ronnie baby swap

December 22nd, 2010 by Lisa McGarry. No comments An EastEnders’ boss has defended the soap’s morbid baby swap storyline. Bryan Kirkwood – executive producer of the BBC One show – explained the “dark” story, which shows Ronnie Branning discovering her newborn baby dead and then swapping it with Kat Moon’s child, will be countered with other scenes showing “friendship, fun and festivities”. He said: “We took great pains to make sure the rest of the episode showed a community with a lot of love. We see a lot of friendships, fun and festivities, and we hope these counter the inevitable darkness of this story.” In the graphic scenes, Ronnie (Samantha Womack) is seen brushing her lifeless baby with the back of her hand, while Kat (Jessie Wallace) is in blood-soaked pyjamas as she’s rushed to hospital by her husband Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) after suffering from a haemorrhage . However, Bryan defended the scenes, which have been criticised for being unbelievable. He told The Sun newspaper: “

12 days of reality: Osbournes ham-throwing

The Osbournes changed everything. They made everyone realize reality TV wasn’t just for unknown schmoes , and that famous people had something to both give and gain from showing us more of themselves on reality shows. From Verne Troyer naked on his scooter, peeing in The Surreal Life house, to The Celebrity Apprentice’s tasks challenging famous people to do actual work to Kathy Griffin showing us her real life as a celebrity even as she mocks celebrities, everyone owes something to the reality series that followed Ozzy Osbourne, Sharon Osbourne, and their kids Kelly and Jack. There’s been a wide range of celebrity reality shows, some great and some shit, but the very best draw from that first season of The Osbournes, showing people we already know in a totally new and raw way. Their dog peed on the carpet (relive that moment below); their neighbors were annoying; the kids were annoying but also just regular teenagers. But then there was the unexpected and unfamiliar, like how wacky Oz

Coronation Street’s Michelle Keegan would ‘love to find Robert Pattinson’ in her Christmas stocking

December 22nd, 2010 by Lisa McGarry. No comments Michelle Keegan has joked that she wants to find Robert Pattinson in her stocking this Christmas. The ‘Coronation Street’ actress admitted she has a huge crush on the actor – who is dating his ‘Twilight’ co-star Kristen Stewart – and would love the chance to spend the festive season with him. She said: “I’d love to find Robert Pattinson in my Christmas stocking. He’s so sexy and has a real aura about him. “I read an interview with him and he seems dead down to earth – he doesn’t think he’s anything special – and that makes him even more attractive.” However, Michelle is not the only British star to confess to a crush on the actor. Singer Pixie Lott has previously admitted Robert is her ideal man. She said recently: “I really like Zac Efron. But I’d prefer it if he messed up his hair a bit, he’s a bit too perfect. I really like Robert Pattinson. I can’t wait for the new ‘Twilight’ film to come out.” Follow us on Twitter ! Get the latest

Dancing with the Stars: Maksim Chmerkovskiy Explains Why He’s Doing “The Bachelor” in Ukraine and not the U.S.

« Extreme Makeover Home Edition: Graham Family Sneak Peek! | Home | The Bachelor: Meet the Ashleys » December 22, 2010 11:00:15 by Shayla Perry After Maksim Chmerkovskiy of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars announced that he’d be looking for love on the Ukrainian version of The Bachelor , some people out there (and we won’t name names) felt that he was dissing American women; like he just broke up with our entire country and gave us the old, “It’s not you; it’s me” speech. But after reading his explanation as to why he chose Ukraine over the U.S., we’re starting to maybe think it’s not him–it’s us. Check out what Maksim had to say and see if you agree… From Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s Website: First thing first. I AM doing the Ukrainian version of our “Bachelor”. The fact that I’ve turned down the American version has NOTHING to do with my ‘dislike’ of American women (the statement is so absurd that I can’t believe I’m even dignifying it with a reply). My reasons for doing it: 1) This is

Fashionable Celtic Jewelry

For fashion lovers, just wearing the latest clothing, shoes, and accessories is not enough. Over two thousand years ago, the Celtic people adorned themselves with handcrafted jewelry made from precious metals and stones. Today, people’s desire for fine jewelry has only grown. For many, their fashion ensemble simply isn’t complete without some form of jewelry adorning their neck or wrists. While any jewelry may do, it is best to invest in jewelry pieces with designs that will be loved even after five generations. This is where Celtic jewelry offers something very unique and different that other jewelry do not possess. Celtic jewelry dates back to the time before Christ in the form of the Celtic cross. Despite having been designed so long ago, Celtic jewelry maintains it’s everlasting luster as a fashionable piece of jewelry worn by many. One does not have to be Irish or Scottish to wear Celtic jewelry as Irish jewelry. The symbolism and metaphysical connotations of the ancient designs

Jewelry Displays Designed to Sell

In one sense the jewelry we wear is a reflection of our personality. Jewelry is used to look glamorous in our own kind of way. Metals and stones are often priceless items when crafted into a beautiful piece specifically for the owner. A piece of jewelry on sale should be displayed effectively to portray its finest qualities. Jewelry comes in all budget sizes, from chunky party wear and costume jewelry that is comparatively inexpensive, to semi-precious jewelry to top-of-the line jewelry with precious metals and stones. Each kind of jewelry will attract a different kind of clientele – and should be displayed accordingly. There all many styles and types of jewelry but there is one common thread amongst jewelry buyers: a nice piece of jewelry should appear more pricey than it actually is. There are two ways to ensure a fine piece of jewelry; quality design and construction, as well as a unique design. After all, when looking for a nice piece of jewelry, who wants the same thing everyone
