CBS bosses were not thought to be surprised by his decision. “Nobody expected him to be on the show for 7 years, it’s Laurence Fishburne,” an insider told Deadline. Laurence Fishburne joined the cast of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in 2009 after William Petersen (aka Gil Grissom) left the series. Home > Drama > Patsy Palmer says she’s NOT leaving EastEnders January 19th, 2011 by Sarah. No comments It was reported by various media outlets earlier this week that Patsy Palmer was quitting EastEnders amid the cot death and baby swap storyline, however, she’s denied that’s the case. In an interview with Hello magazine, Patsy added that she has “every intention” of returning to EastEnders after her maternity leave. Patsy of course gave birth to her fourth child, Bertie, last November, and her exit from the show prompted the show’s writers to re-write some scenes. However, Patsy reiterated that she hasn’t left the show and will take up a new contract with the BBC soap at some point. She said, “I have not quit EastEnders over the current storyline as reports suggest… “My contract came to an end soon after I gave birth to Bertie and, as I have already said, I just want to spend every minute with him. “I love EastEnders and have every intention of returning when the time is righ...

However, the future of the series is unclear; an A&E representative told me that there is no official word yet whether it will continue without him and PRS or be cancelled. Last week, in a long blog post explaining why he’s ending the show , Ryan—who last year came out as bisexual —wrote that “as we started to get towards the end of the fifth season, I began to realize that I was having a hard time, physically and mentally with everything,” and adds that “we need some freedom to be and to grow.” Also in the post, he discusses the evolution of the series, and says that it “was never 100% our vision” because of the collaborate nature of TV. He says that, last Wednesday, “I informed the producers a...

The chat show host – who announced he would be leaving the channel earlier this year – admitted there was a great deal of “pressure” on him while he was fronting ‘Friday Night With Jonathan Ross’. He explained: “There was a degree of pressure. And ever since my last contract was announced – and it was a huge contact – I felt like there was a lot of pressure on me, a lot of negativity about it, and I felt kind of like, well, maybe I shouldn’t be here? “I talked to them on a regular basis saying, ‘Do want me to go? Should we change this?’ And it was always the answer was no. But I felt under a lot pressure and a lot of stress to live up to that, to deal with that, and I didn’t enjoy it. The 50-year-old star – who was famously suspended by the BBC for 12 weeks in 2008 after leaving lude messages on the phone of ‘Fawlty Towers’ actor Andrew Sachs alongside Russell Brand – admitted the incident m...
