On the set of her music video, Crystal reveals why she chose such a personal song as her first single, what her mother thinks about it, and how the song has helped her forgive. After much anticipation, Farmer’s Daughter, Crystal’s debut album, will be released on December 14th. “It’s between country and rock and roll,” Crystal said in an interview with her hometown Fox station. “Some of the songs are really country, but, like, old-school country. Not new pop-country,” says Bowersox. “Then some of the songs are throwback to retro funk and soul. There’s a lot of different flavors there.
