Rachel and Brendon return to TV tonight

HGTV »     by Andy Dehnart / July 12, 2012, 7:13 AM Overexposed Big Brother and Amazing Race cast members Rachel Reilly and Brendon Villegas are back on a reality show tonight at 9 p.m. ET, but is not, thankfully, the CBS show that unleashed them upon the world. Instead, a new HGTV show will use them to draw viewers—except inexplicable programming strategy has led HGTV to schedule the episode at the exact same time Big Brother 14 debuts. Natural Born Sellers is another HGTV real estate show that follows, according the network, “a successful California family of real estate agents in their quest to remain in the elite top one percent of agents in the country.” In tonight’s premiere episode , here’s what we’ll see: “Real Estate Agents Marissa and Julianna help television stars and engaged couple Rachel and Brendon find their first home. Brendon insists on staying close to UCLA but Rachel wants to get the most bang for her buck, even if that means going to the Valley.” Rachel and Bre...

Stars in Their Eyes to return to ITV!

Home > competitions > Stars in Their Eyes to return to ITV! September 19th, 2011 by Sarah. No comments Former Saturday hit show Stars in Their Eyes is reportedly set to return to ITV in a newly revamped series. The show, which was axed five years ago, will undergo some changes in format when it returns to our screens. A show insider told the Daily Mirror, “Basically this is Celebrity Stars In Their Eyes with an additional guessing element. “Instead of the star coming out and saying, ‘I’m going to be…’ they perform a song, and the audience has to work out who they are… “They’re tweaking the old show and calling it Guess the Star.” In a pilot episode, which was filmed in Manchester earlier this month, TV host Nicky Campbell impersonated Liam Gallagher. One audience member said his performance had been “hilarious”. The original Stars in Their Eyes, which was hosted by Matthew Kelly and then Cat Deeley, aired from 1990 until 2006 and attracted audiences of up to 13 million. Follow...

No comments 22-year-old actress Emily Head, who stars as Carli D’Amato in E4 comedy The Inbetweeners, has revealed that she’ll “never” go back to Magaluf having filmed there for the show’s spin-off movie. Emily revealed that during filming for The Inbetweeners Movie, the cast stayed in a £7.50-a-night hotel, which had no locks on the toilet doors. She said, “I’d never go back to Magaluf! We filmed the movie there and the hotel we were staying in cost £7.50 a night. “All the floors were wipe-clean and none of the bathrooms had any locks, presumably because people pass out in them. Fox confirms American Idol judges will all return, announces debut date

American Idol’s cast will remain unchanged for season 11, with Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler, and Randy Jackson on the panel and Ryan Seacrest hosting. Executive producer Nigel Lythgoe said as much this past weekend, and the only real question was whether Jennifer Lopez would return, and if so, for how long. Since the announcement only says the panel is returning for season 11 in 2012, the negotiations presumably resulted in a one-year contract, meaning she can get more money and/or leave after season 11. Lots of media reports say she’s getting $20 million for next season, up from $12 million, but they tend to attribute that vaguely, and I can’t find a clear, attributed source of that information. Anyway, Fox said that the new season will debut Jan. 22, a Sunday, following the NFC championship game; that’s two weeks before The Voice returns following the Super Bowl on NBC. « Britney Spears Treats Pauly D To A Sexy Lap Dance! | Home August 12, 2011 11:33 AM by Martha Zaborowski Supernanny returns! And now Lifetime, in conjunction with Shed Media US, have launched an open casting call for the new Supernanny; and for the first time ever, they will be searching for an American homegrown Supernanny . “Shed Media US is thrilled to work with Lifetime on re-launching our successful brand with a fresh, new, American nanny,” said Nick Emmerson, President of Shed Media US.  Supernanny is a global series with Supernannies based in Brazil, France, Germany, Israel, Spain, Greece, China, Italy, Singapore, and Indonesia, among other countries. Fear Factor now casting for its return, five years after NBC cancelled it

Fear Factor, the extreme game show/reality series, is now casting for an apparent return to NBC later this year, five years after being cancelled. The show’s casting web site says “we’re back” and says it is looking for “teams of two,” such as “married couples, siblings, parent/child, best friends, coworkers, teammates, roommates, [and] ex’s.” However, they only want people “in the greater Los Angeles area”—a far too common trend that helps save money and ensure that shows are cast with the same bland L.A. model-types. While NBC’s casting page does not include the casting call yet and the series is not on NBC’s fall schedule, the network’s logo is rather visible in the footer of the casting web site, and a Reality Wanted ad says the posting company is NBC. I assume the series will be used to replace a cancelled show in the fall. There is no word about who will host or how the how might change in the era of Wipeout , which has been rather successful on ABC and is produced by the sam...

Blindsides, bathing suits, luxury items, Russell's bad game play, and Fabio's pee pool all return to Survivor

The act of “blindsiding” someone has now become so commonplace on Survivor that it’s expected, and thus almost doesn’t work, because it’s not blind if everyone can expect it to happen. But tonight’s vote, when Matt Elrod was sent home from the Ometepe tribe instead of Phillip, definitely qualifies as a blindside. His mouth dropped open when Jeff Probst started reading the votes with his name on them, and he said, simply, “Damn, guys,” as he went off to Redemption Island to fight in the first duel against Francesca. Matt sealed his fate at the challenge, which was held in the very same pool that made several appearances during Survivor Nicaragua—most memorably when eventual winner Fabio peed in it , and my guess is that it hasn’t exactly been drained since then. (For the occasion, producers gave the cast their bathing suits, so we no longer have to see Phillip in his droopy red briefs all the time.) After his tribe lost, Matt walked over to shake the winning tribe members’ hands: nice ...

Coronation Street: Kym Marsh and Keith Duffy to return this September

Home > Soaps > Coronation Street: Kym Marsh and Keith Duffy to return this September April 20th, 2011 by Lisa McGarry. No comments Kym Marsh has revealed that she will finish her maternity leave and return to Coronation Street this September. The actress took early leave earlier this year, after she suffered complications during her pregnancy and was ordered to rest by her doctors. Corrie writers were forced to change their scripts and wrote Kym’s character Michelle Connor out by sending her off on a cruise with Keith Duffy’s Ciaran McCarthy. The Boyzone star has since revealed that he is returning to the ITV soap on September 15. Speaking about her return, Marsh wrote in new! magazine: “I’m due to return to work on Corrie around September and so is Keith Duffy, who plays Ciaran McCarthy.” “It makes sense for Ciaran and Michelle to return together as viewers like them as a couple.” Follow us on Twitter ! Coronation Street Spoilers: Jim McDonald will return for Liz!

Home > Soaps > Coronation Street Spoilers: Jim McDonald will return for Liz! February 2nd, 2011 by Lisa McGarry. No comments Jim McDonald is set to return to Coronation Street and insiders say that he won’t leave alone. The loud Irish man, played by Charles Lawson, was last seen on the ITV soap before Christmas when he was beaten up and left for dead in an attack arranged by his ex-wife’s boyfriend Owen Armstrong. Inside Soap now reports that Jim will return on March the 14th and make a ‘shocking suggestion’ to Liz McDonald, who will have recently returned from Spain. Beverley Callard, who plays Liz, recently revealed that she is leaving the show , so Jim’s return will most likely be linked with her departure and discussing the plot in a recent interview, Callard told Bang Showbiz: “It’s a fantastic exit and it’s absolutely massive, but Liz may not be leaving on her own!” Follow us on Twitter ! Derek Hough skipping Dancing with the Stars 12, but will return for 13

Three-time Dancing with the Stars winner Derek Hough is leaving the show for a season, but he says he will return for the 13th season in the fall. Instead of competing, he’ll be filming Cobu 3D, playing a dancer who falls in love with a character played by singer BoA. “I’m taking season 12 off,” Derek told People . “I will be making it back to Dancing with the Stars in the fall. I’m just taking a little break and taking this chance to grow and expand a little bit as an artist. It’s like I told one of the producers on the show — I’ll come back with a whole new set of skills.” That’s because the film will feature “a much edgier side of me and these other styles of dance I’m capable of doing,” he said. Producers are supportive of his absence. Executive producer Conrad Green told the magazine, “We wish Derek the best as he takes time off from Dancing with the Stars to pursue his film career, and look forward to having him return to the show in the fall.” View the original article here
