Jim McDonald is set to return to Coronation Street and insiders say that he won’t leave alone.

The loud Irish man, played by Charles Lawson, was last seen on the ITV soap before Christmas when he was beaten up and left for dead in an attack arranged by his ex-wife’s boyfriend Owen Armstrong.

Inside Soap now reports that Jim will return on March the 14th and make a ‘shocking suggestion’ to Liz McDonald, who will have recently returned from Spain.

Beverley Callard, who plays Liz, recently revealed that she is leaving the show, so Jim’s return will most likely be linked with her departure and discussing the plot in a recent interview, Callard told Bang Showbiz:

“It’s a fantastic exit and it’s absolutely massive, but Liz may not be leaving on her own!”
