Show creator Ryan Murphy has revealed that he is planning another tribute episode – which will air in and around April time – and it will honour the music from The Bee Gees’ “Saturday Night Fever” soundtrack. The show boss is keen to dip his toe into the world of disco and told “We’ve never done disco on the show, but I’m interested in the genius of The Bee Gees,” Murphy told TV Guide. The 200th and final episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition airs tonight on ABC, as the series has been cancelled —though a few episodes will be burned off/air as specials sometime in the future. Series host Ty Pennington is moving on to the daytime series The Revolution. Tonight’s two-hour episode follows the crew as they create seven homes in seven days in tornado-ravaged Joplin . This retrospective video is a reminder that, however over-produced and overly reliant on Sears appliances it was (and how it made a weird argument that happiness comes in the form of excessive consumerism), the show did a lot of good, and managed to bring communities together to help their neighbors. The episode of Mythbusters being filmed when a cannonball accidentally went through a house and into a car will never air, according to Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, who were actually not the ones conducting the experiment; it was the show’s B team, Tory Belleci, Kari Byron, and Grant Imahara, the ones who are bad actors and can’t really sell the moments when they’re saying scripted things that are supposed to sound spontaneous. They were testing a myth about “whether or not a stone cannonball could actually breach a castle’s walls,” Adam told the San Francisco Chronicle . And it seems the reason for poor viewer numbers is that many fans say they’re put off watching the show because it’s storyline have become “too complicated.” A primetime audience of 5.9million watched the episode on Saturday, 6.2million tuned in to All Star Family Fortunes. That episode is due to be filmed in November 2013, and despite recently claiming he won’t stay on as the Doctor indefinitely, Matt says he intends to be a part of the episode. The Real World Las Vegas, the show’s 25th season, debuted last night, and while it all but dispensed with narrative and replaced it with montages of bodies, it did address Dustin Zito’s past as a gay porn star, or as he called it, being a model. I haven’t watched the show consistently in years, but I was still surprised at what it actually was: a nearly non-stop montage of half-naked bodies in and out of the hot tub and beds. Even in public they were groping each other and the camera lingered over skin. I have no objection to pornography but it was so much—Cinemax movies have nothing on this—that it was unsettling, at the very least. And the episode spent basically no time on introductions but instead watched as the cast immediately began to start humping anything they could find, creating predictable conflict with relationships they have back home.
