Kathy Griffin’s Bravo reality series My Life on the D-List is officially over, which Kathy said in mid-November but which has become news again today, because Bravo is announcing four comedy specials with Kathy that will air this year. “It was a really tough decision because I think of the D-List as pretty much my baby for the last six seasons and I also think it was really time to stop doing it. Reality is great, but I really didn’t set out to be a reality star. So now it’s time to spread my wings and show that I’m a little different than Kate Gosselin. I’m not saying better, but maybe separate myself from the pack a little bit,” she told People . Kathy Griffin’s awesome and Emmy-winning Bravo docudrama My Life on the D-List won’t be returning, she said, although she suggested that she’d be willing to do a show that’s scripted. The series adopted a hybrid format recently, with Kathy interacting with different celebrities. “I don’t think it will come back, especially not as the same show it was,” Kathy told Entertainment Weekly. “I would love to do a hybrid show, like a half-scripted kind of thing or something based on what I built on My Life on the D List and what I experience, but not a full-on reality show. I need to maybe give my mom a break so she doesn’t have to drink quite as much boxed wine.
