An episode of The Celebrity Apprentice and the finale of America’s Next Great Restaurant , which were interrupted by breaking news on the east coast and the west coast, respectively, won’t be repeated on NBC, but are online and will be rebroadcast on CNBC this Friday at 9 p.m. ET (Apprentice) and 10 p.m. ET (Restaurant). However, NBC affiliates are reporting that there will be a extended recap before Sunday’s episode of The Apprentice, which is actually a three-hour episode. American Idol’s fifth-season winner, Taylor Hicks, finally has a new hit on his hands: a popular video of him parodying the viral video of Rebecca Black’s performance of “Friday.” On Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Colbert challenged Fallon to raise money for charity, and after raising $26,000 for DonorsChoose , which funds classroom projects, Colbert performed “Friday.” He was joined by the Roots and, spoiler alert, Taylor Hicks—and his appearance made the whole thing even more perfectly ridiculous. Taylor at once made fun of himself a little bit and made himself seem a lot cooler. If you’ve been hiding from the Internet the past three weeks, Rebecca Black’s version of “Friday” has become an overnight sensation because of its insipid lyrics, the overproduction of the 13-year-old’s singing, and the cheesy video. Showtime »     by Andy Dehnart / January 14, 2011, 12:56 PM Pay cable network Showtime has teamed with Major League Baseball’s production company to follow the San Francisco Giants, the 2010 World Series winners, for a new hour-long reality series that was compared to Friday Night Lights, which Showtime’s new president, David Nevins, produced. It does not yet have a name, but it will air during the second half of baseball season, with a special introduction airing on opening day. The series is produced by Major League Baseball Productions, which is filming the team and its family members; coaches and staff; and team owners and managers for 10 months.
