No comments Benedict Cumberbatch , who of course plays Sherlock Holmes in the BBC’s Sherlock , has told the Sun’s TV Biz that playing the verbose and super intelligent detective is “hard graft.” As fans of the show will know, Sherlock is given to long-winded but meticulously formed monologues regarding his deductions about the cases he’s working on. Of playing the intense role, Benedict said, “Every deduction is hard. It’s always a painful process. “There are all the details. It’s like a stream of consciousness of incredibly condensed information. “He just goes at 100 miles an hour and it’s a huge speed to rush it out. “It’s just hard, it’s hard graft — there’s no other word for it.” And it seems with regard to learning lines, Benedict reckons his co-star, Martin Freeman – who of course plays Doctor John Watson – has a far easier time of it than he does. December 9th, 2010 by Sarah. No comments In an interview with TV Times, Lacey Turner has revealed that she’s going to miss playing Stacey Slater when she leaves the show this month. Lacey added that she felt she’s “grown up” while playing the part of the feisty Slater. She said, “Now I’ve got to the end, I don’t know why I’m going. “I feel like I’ve grown up here, so I’ll miss it all… “The people, the buzz of it; everything. I might cry in a minute.” And when asked which had been her favourite storylines, Lacey said, “I loved all the Bradley and Stacey stuff from the beginning… “The fact that the geek falls in love with the tart; I just love the way their relationship went. “I also liked Max and Stacey’s affair because it was spread out over a year, so I got the chance to play a lot of different emotions. “And the bi-polar storyline was great because of the effect it had on so many people; I learned so much doing that.” However, Lacey added that after six years with the show, she felt...
