No comments Comedienne Catherine Tate is to reprise her role as Nellie Bertram on the US version of The Office. NBC made the announcement yesterday, and the show’s executive producer – and cast member – Paul Lieberstein, said, “Catherine is hysterical. We introduced her briefly in last season’s finale and knew she had to be a part of the show somehow. “We’ll meet her again as corporate’s special projects manager, and her relationship with Robert California (James Spader) will be far from professional… “We’re thrilled that she’s joining the cast.” Catherine originally starred in The Office’s season seven finale as a candidate for the post of office manager. The Apprentice isn’t really popular at all among most viewers, but it’s the third-most popular show among people who make more than $100,000 a year. Since this season focuses on people impacted by the recession, maybe we can extrapolate that rich people like to watch Donald Trump fire already fired people again? Or maybe they just like good television. NBC’s “The Office and 30 Rock and reality vet The Apprentice rank as the season’s top-indexing programs among adults 18-49 living in homes with income exceeding $100,000, according to National Audience Demographics data from Nielsen,” Variety reports . The paper has data about how other reality shows did with that audience. Last week’s penultimate episode of The Apprentice saw 56 percent more people 18 to 49, but TV By the Numbers says its rating is “still tiny,” and among all viewers, the show came in third place with just 4.1 million viewers.
