Yanks Down Under – America’s Next Top Model Weekly Recap

by ANTM Blogger The land of kangaroos and koala bears was invaded by yank models in this week’s episode of America’s Next Top Model. When the models found out, as you may expect, each of them were excited. April, cycle 2, made a stunning return (we’ve always had a soft spot for April and her pragmatic ways) in order to teach the girls how to be poised interviewers. Of course, some girls needed more help than others — Jaslene, we’re talking about you. If you wanna talk good, you should probably learn how to use proper English semantics and grammar; the correct phrase would be I want to speak well . This episode certainly did not disappoint when Jael and Dionne were paired together for an interview . We know the other girls had their interviews as well, but it was hard to concentrate on anything other than the chemistry going on between Jael and Dionne. The fur went flying when Jael more than insinuated that Dionne may just be going home. Of course, Jael was one to talk especially when ...

America’s Next Top Model Weekly Recap — It Was The Taxi Driver’s Fault

by ANTM Blogger ANTM once again returned us to the regular tumultuous programming that we’ve all grown accustomed to, instead of the nostalgic look at episodes past that was on last week. (Hooray.) And this week, they even gave us an extra special treat: the day we’ve all been waiting for since the season began . This week’s episode started with Dionne making a very astute observation about Brittany: Brittany’s a bullsh*tter. Like we already didn’t know that, but Dionne helps clear it up for the slow kids by explaining that Brittany knew her lines perfectly when she had to put on a performance with Efren, but turned on the water works and made excuses when it was time to make a Cover Girl commercial. We think Brittany just has selective short term memory loss — she selects when she wants sympathy from it . It’s the time we all saw coming and we were waiting patiently for — the ANTM folks decided to set the girls loose on unsuspecting Australian agencies for some go-sees. The girls tau...

Top Model Judges Unedited

by ANTM Blogger Tyra has a “Top Model” reunion when she invites judges Paulina Porizkova and Nigel Barker to the talk show. First, she sits down with Paulina to discuss her tumultuous childhood, her true feelings about modeling and how she experimented with drugs during her career. Nigel joins them to talk about how his modeling led to his career as a fashion photographer, how he feels about being a sex symbol and his most crazy encounter with a fan. Then, viewers who are aspiring to be models walk Tyra’s runway and receive brutally honest advice from the judges about their future in modeling. This is an extremely interesting edition of the show, and should not be missed by any Top Model fans! Top Model Judges Unedited gives a unique insight into how each of the judges go to where they are today within the world of modeling. This brilliant episode is certainly one which any Tyra fans will want to watch again and again. The judges also give modeling tips that can help everyone in real ...

Sober Model House: Janice Dickinson's newest series

Celebrity Rehab cast member Janice Dickinson will soon begin production on a new show called Sober Model House that helps models get sober in a house. Produced by the company that created her previous series, The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency (the show on which a Survivor cast member came out ), Stuart Krasnow Productions, the show “moves a bunch of models, who need to get sober, into a UK residence and gives them the tools necessary to get and stay clean,” The Insider reported . It starts filming in January; no network was mentioned. Recently, Janice said America’s Next Top Model is rigged because CoverGirl selects each season’s winner, and said she quit the show when she realized that’s what was going on. Angelea's disqualification remains unexplained, but CW admits Top Model finale was reshot

America’s Next Top Model’s 17th and first all-star cycle concluded last night with controversy, as a final-three model Angelea Preston, who apparently initially won, was disqualified without explanation, leaving the judges to select a new winner. (Skip to the next paragraph if you don’t want to know who that was: Lisa D’Amato won the competition and $100,000, plus other prizes; Allison Harvard came in second.) Host/egomaniac Tyra Banks has mostly been silent and left the explanation to judge Nigel Barker, who said during the episode, “after shooting was wrapped, our production team and the network learned information from Angelea that disqualifies her from the competition.” The “after shooting was wrapped” part suggested they re-filmed parts of the finale, and The CW confirmed said in a statement today: “After production wrapped on the current cycle of America’s Next Top Model, we learned information that made Angelea ineligible and she was subsequently disqualified from the competit...

Keep reading to find out when the aspiring model will break her silence! The stakes were high during this year’s all-stars season as the models were vying for a lot of prizes. "America's Next Top Model: All-Stars" recap: Write a blog about it

Welcome back from Thanksgiving break my darlings! The ladies are still in Greece and it looks like this week's episode is going to be filled with a lot of creepiness, yelling, crying and, as per usual, ridiculousness. Tyra is going to have the girls be part of a "fashion film" based on her book, Modelland , which Lisa says is going to be "epic." I'm at the point right now when if one of the models says they're going to be a part of something "epic," I prepare myself for the worst. Speaking of the worst, Angelea reminds us that she's still there while Dominique was sent packing after the previous challenge. She admits that she was surprised Dominique was the one sent home but that she was a hater. We're then treated to a montage of Angelea's emotional breakdown. As if she were watching the same recap clip, Lisa chimes in and says she's pretty sure Angelea's going to be having many more emotional outbursts to come. The girls ...

"America's Next Top Model: All-Stars" recap: Goddess and the shes

I cannot believe the day is finally here and we can escape from this atrocious cycle of America's Next Top Model: All Stars. The final three are about as different as can be and at this point I'm really not sure who will win or who I ultimately even want to win. Allison is obviously my favorite model thanks to her ability to take great pictures in almost every situation and her personality not making me want to punch her in the face. I might not want Allison to win though because I would worry it would hold her back from being a bigger, more successful model. Lisa still gets on my nerves when she trash talks or makes things uncomfortable. But I've got to hand it to her — she's been taking great pictures this season, has stepped up to the plate on every challenge and would fit in well on the set of my least favorite show of all time: Extra . We all know how I feel about Angelea and the fact that she's made it this far with her crappy attitude and even worse performa...

"America's Next Top Model: All-Stars" recap: Greece is the word

We're back in Greece and Dominique is psyched to be the dark horse in the competition. She says that while she misses her children — who are absolutely adorable — she's doing this for them and hopes to bring home the All Star title. Wait, I take back my previous statement about the location of the models. Some of the girls are in Greece and Angelea is still stuck on Get A Clue Island. She's so confused about why she keeps getting stuck in the bottom two while Dominique hasn't been there once. She also insists that Dominique is not an All Star. Homegirl needs to get her eyes checked and take a look at their pictures again. She also needs to listen to all of the previous comments from the judges because they keep waiting for her to be great on camera. I'm fed up with her nonstop boasting when she's done pretty much nothing to back it up. Lisa keeps running her mouth about how Allison isn't good enough but if she pooped, the judges would call it a doe-eyed mas...

"America's Next Top Model: All-Stars" recap: "Making Dollars Out of Scents"

Well we made it everybody! We're finally in the home stretch of this cycle and it couldn't have come soon enough. As we start tonight's show  Lisa  is upset about Bre leaving but also adds that Bianca doesn't have a bodyguard anymore. Alexandria , looking the least fierce I've ever seen her, reminds us that the judges knocked her picture for looking like "a reality TV star" and I'm reminded what a joke that is considering the fact that they are on a reality TV show. They — Tyra included — need to get over themselves and probably shouldn't use that as a way to cut the contestants down, particularly considering who their guest judges have been so far. Shannon says she thinks the judges want more raunch from her. I think she just needs to stop being boring. Bianca is pissed that the house is full of cliques because now she doesn't have someone to back up all the whack crap that comes out of her mouth. Seriously, she seems to get into fights w...

"America's Next Top Model: All-Stars" recap: It's all Greek to me

Today's post will be a little shorter than usual due to me being out way too late last night at the Antigone Rising / Daphne Willis show. I know some of you have been saying you'd like more photos and gifs in these, so I'll start off with this one: As sweet little Laura says at the beginning of the show, "And then there were six." I can't believe there are still that many — this "All Star" cycle feels like it's been going on since the last winter Olympics. Angelea starts out the same way she always does which is by telling us how much she wants this and how different this cycle is because it's for the All Stars. Shannon chimes in and says she didn't even want to do this but she gets thousands of letters from very boring little girls saying she is their role model and that has made her want to win this even more. Dominique says she misses her kids but it's pushing her to fight harder in the game. Angelea feels like Dominique is a...

"America's Next Top Model: All-Stars" recap: Lip synch for your life

Don't mind me I'm just sitting here watching Top Model and eating my leftover pumpkin seeds. Can you believe another week has gone by? It seems like only yesterday that Bianca was being a bitch, Shannon was boring us to tears and we were deprived of any new Tyra -isms. Angelea starts the show and says most people were upset to see Kayla go but everyone is pumped Bianca sashayed away. Lisa runs through the mansion doors loudly announcing her winning picture for — I don't know — the DVR to hear. In what I am now dubbing the True Blood room, Laura (Jason Stackhouse) and Allison (Vampire Jess, obviously), are conversating. Laura tells Allison she's really proud of how far she's come, particularly that she is now being asked to speak at venues. Allison either speaks back to Laura and tells her what a great person she is, or she's sharing these sentiments with her pillow. She's sweet though and tells us she's working on being more extroverted and gai...
