Bachelor will infect Canada with a Canadians-only version of the dating series

Canada is getting its own version of The Bachelor, which has started casting and will air on Citytv. Our long-suffering neighbors to the north, who frequently have to watch our reality TV shows but cannot apply to them, have actually sent us a number of cast members for The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, including Jillian Harris. But now they get their own version, so more Canadians will know what it’s like to date on television and break up after they’ve bled it for all the publicity they can. The nine-episode series will debut in the fall, according to a press release , which says the “nine-episode, Canadian, romantic reality series is in the pre-production phase with principal photography slated to begin this spring,” and it will be produced by Force Four Entertainment. No comments Following outstanding ratings BBC One Controller, Danny Cohen, announces Call The Midwife has been re commission ed for a second series from Neal Street Productions. Call The Midwife has captured the hearts of audiences on Sunday nights at 8pm, the series opener last week consolidated at 9.8million viewers making it BBC One’s highest launch episode of a new drama on record. With last night’s episode averaging a massive 8.6 million as audiences tuned in to see Miranda Hart join the cast of nursing nuns. No comments Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss have confirmed that a third series of hit drama Sherlock has been commission ed by BBC One. The co-creators of the show took to Twitter yesterday, not long after the finale of the current series aired, to promise fans that work on a third run will begin shortly. Moffat started the discussion, telling his followers: “#sherlock Yes of course there’s going to be a third series – it was commission ed at the same time as the second. Gotcha!” Gatiss later tweeted: “Gotcha! And of course there’ll be a third series! January 3rd, 2012 by Sarah. 1 Comment Well, it seems like a long way off right now, but a BBC insider has told the Daily Express that Jennifer Saunders IS preparing to write a new series of hit comedy Absolutely Fabulous , which would air in 2013. As fans of the show will know, over Christmas and New Year, we were treated to two new episodes of the sitcom, with another promised for later this year to tie in with the televising of this year’s Olympics. I told the court that beforehand. Sober Model House: Janice Dickinson's newest series

Celebrity Rehab cast member Janice Dickinson will soon begin production on a new show called Sober Model House that helps models get sober in a house. Produced by the company that created her previous series, The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency (the show on which a Survivor cast member came out ), Stuart Krasnow Productions, the show “moves a bunch of models, who need to get sober, into a UK residence and gives them the tools necessary to get and stay clean,” The Insider reported . It starts filming in January; no network was mentioned. Recently, Janice said America’s Next Top Model is rigged because CoverGirl selects each season’s winner, and said she quit the show when she realized that’s what was going on. No comments Graham Linehan, who created comedy The IT Crowd, has confirmed that the show won’t be continuing for a fifth year. Digital Spy report that he broke the news during an online chat at Reddit. Kevin Smith's comics shop will be the subject of an AMC reality series

The show, produced by Miami Ink producers Original Media, will “document the daily banter of The Secret Stash and it’s employees and devoted customers; and it will capture the fun and emotion of buying and selling collectibles and comic memorabilia that happens in comic book stores all across the country and in mega-venues like Comic-Con,” according to AMC.
