When Dasha Zhukova resigned from her position as editor of the prestigious POP magazine, the fashion world almost instantly began awaiting the next steps for the creative force. Now, after just one year of being out of the spotlight, the stunning 30 year old is back with a vengeance with her new project, Garage, a brand new fashion, art and culture magazine that’s set to hit the news stands during New York Fashion Week. According to The New York Times’ Eric Wilson (who recently got his hands on a preview copy of the magazine), the publication is full of the work of artists and fashion photographers collaborating together in an influential and creative manner, with the content of fashion spreads showing “more than a passing interest in art”. No comments Shona McGarty looks a million miles away from troubled teenager Whitney Dean in this sophisticated photo in Saturday’s Buzz magazine. The Eastenders actress posed for the cover shot, with a net and some very colourful butterflies and told the publication that though she enjoys her job, she hates the red carpet events that come as part of it. The 19 year old beauty told the publication: “It scares the life out of me but I like the adrenaline rush of it all…it’s like going on a rollercoaster.” It all sounds very exciting! However, the young actress has big ambitions and speaking about her future dream house, she laughed: “I want my own house with a pool in the shape of my face.” She’ll need a few more years in Walford to save for that then!
