No comments ITV have announced that the acclaimed star of stage and screen ROGER ALLAM (The Iron Lady, The Thick of It, The Queen) joins the cast of Endeavour as Morse’s partner Detective Inspector Fred Thursday. The two hour single film from Mammoth Screen will be filmed on location in Oxford and will mark the 25th anniversary of the very first episode of Morse. Endeavour is written by Russell Lewis (creator of Lewis, Kavanagh QC and Cadfael, and writer of Inspector Morse, Spooks and Murphy’s Law) and is made by Mammoth Screen for ITV1. SHAUN EVANS (The Take, Come Rain Come Shine) will step in to John Thaw’s shoes to play the younger version of Colin Dexter’s iconic character, giving the audience the chance to discover the origins of the detective famed for his love of crosswords, classical music, real ale and classic cars.
