No comments Catherine Tyldesley has claimed that she would be the first to notice if Michelle Collins’ accent wasn’t right and she “can’t understand the fuss” over the Northern dialect she uses. The Coronation Street actress – – who plays Eva Price in the ITV1 soap – claimed that Michelle’s portrayal of her on-screen mum Steela Price is ‘brilliant’ and added that she would be the first to jump in if it wasn’t. She told Inside Soap magazine: “I can’t understand this fuss. If you actually listen to Michelle’s accent, there’s nothing wrong with it at all. “My family couldn’t get any more northern, so if I heard something that wasn’t quite right, I’d be the first to say so.
