And I do struggle with it. “I can’t wear my thermals underneath it because it would make the trousers even tighter – and then I can’t bend down to tie my shoelaces.” The wedding scenes, which air on January 26th, were filmed in a chilly Harrogate back in mid-December, and of how the day goes for Jai and Charity, Chris – who’s also starred in Coronation Street , Shameless , Prime Suspect and hit comedy film East Is East – said, “He’s hoping to get married [but...

Chris Harrison: producers didn't tell Ashley because it'd "affect her journey" (and wreck their show)

After Monday night’s shocking! most amazing ever! exit from The Bachelorette, when Bentley lied to Ashley about why he was leaving and callously talked behind her back , Chris Harrison is defending the shows’ producers decision to not clue Ashley in to Bentley’s lying. Chris told TV Guide , “I’m catching heat and the producers are catching heat, but the only way we could have told her everything about Bentley was to completely affect her journey. What line do we not want to cross? Then it really opens up Pandora’s box and where to we stop the line? Do I tell her a snide comment that J.P. just made or ‘Oh I heard William said something about you too’? Why would she even date these guys when she could just go to the producers and watch the tapes and see how they act. It completely undermines everything we’ve been about for the entire show. I know it’s a sketchy grey area, but that’s the line we’ve drawn and we’ve stuck to it.” First, the slippery slope argument is pretty much bullshit (...

« The Biggest Loser: The Unknowns Go Back To The Ranch Tonight! | Home February 1, 2011 02:45:11 by Candace Young Episode five of The Bachelor on ABC was once again an emotional whirlwind for the ladies, as well as for Brad, who took Emily out to the race track on a group date, not knowing that her late husband had been a NASCAR race driver and owner who was on his way to a track when he was killed. Keep reading to find out what host Chris Harrison had to say about that situation, and the rest of the episode, in his blog this week… Chris begins his Entertainment Weekly blog this week by cutting to the chase and discussing what he deems the ‘most controversial moment of the season’ – Emily ending up on the race track date. That said, Chris concedes that the show knew her story and made a decision to...

Coronation Street: Chris Fountain ‘I’m the opposite of Tommy Duckworth’

Home > Soaps > Coronation Street: Chris Fountain ‘I’m the opposite of Tommy Duckworth’ April 2nd, 2011 by Lisa McGarry. No comments Chris Fountain has claimed that he is nothing like his new ‘Coronation Street’ character. The 23-year-old actor was seen on the ITV soap for the first time last week as Tommy Duckworth, and Chris insists he is happily settled with girlfriend Jessica Derrick and is not as confident around women as his character. He said: “I’ve very settled and enjoying it – I’m probably the opposite of Tommy Duckworth right now. “Tommy’s completely different to me. I’d be really nervous chatting up a girl I didn’t know – I’d have to be introduced beforehand. But Tommy exudes confidence.” Chris came second in ‘Dancing on Ice’ in 2008 and was pleased when show bosses said he didn’t have to join other contestants in having a spray tan – though he was dismayed when ‘Coronation Street’ chiefs told him he needed a bronzed glow to make his portrayal of Tommy believable, a...

He said: “It was quite daunting, to be honest, as it’s a massive institution. I was really star-struck to meet Bill Roache (Ken Barlow) and Barbara Knox (Rita Sullivan). They’ve been in the show since I was born, so they’re living legends. “I’m good friends with Ryan Thomas (Jason Grimshaw) and I actually went to school with Jack P Shepherd (David Platt). Ryan’s been great. I’ve actually been staying at his house during the week, as he lives not too far away from the set.” The former ‘Hollyoaks’ hunk explained he is ...

Chris Lambton explains why he rejected The Bachelor

Brad Womack returns to ABC tonight to try to find love again, and will face the two women he rejected (Jenni Croft and DeAnna Pappas), an event that turned him into a villain but saved The Bachelor by making it relevant and interesting again. The man who producers first approached about fronting the 15th season, The Bachelorette runner-up Chris Lambton, says he rejected the show and a mid-six-figure paycheck because he didn’t like the way he was portrayed—as a nice guy, an interesting twist on a reality TV cast member blaming the editing for making them look worse than they actually were. The Boston Globe profiles Chris , and reports that Chris “didn’t like how ‘The Bachelorette’ had portrayed him, as an always-sweet, good-guy character known to fans as ‘Chris L.’ He felt that ABC focused too much on the death of his mother, Marjorie, who in 2008 succumbed to multiple system atrophy, a neurological disorder similar to ALS. He says the show didn’t focus on his years of teaching in New ...
