No comments True Blood executive producer Alexander Woo has admitted that the vampires won’t be having an easy time of it this season. As well as the usual dissenters within their own ranks, humans who want to kill them and of course the werewolves, in the fourth run of the popular HBO show the vamps will also have to contend with a very dangerous coven of witches. Watching Survivor Nicaragua tonight, I tried to figure out Sash, aka Matthew Lenahan, who I just don’t understand as a player. He’s cocky, arrogant, annoying, and thinks he’s a genius who’s completely in control. Those attributes prompted me to think about Richard Hatch, since I watched clips of the first winner earlier today as I finished writing my first 12 Days of Reality TV entry about Hatch . But the two men are nothing alike. My guess is that Sash imagines himself to be Richard Hatch but is actually Russell Hantz, someone whose lack of a social game will blindside him and make him bitter when he gets voted out or gets no votes at the finale. Sash’s social game seems to consist of getting his feelings hurt and wanting to hurt other people as a result, like when he whined and moped about Chase choosing Holly and Jane to go with him on the reward after the recycled (sigh) reward challenge. Jeff Probst basically tried to tell tribe members how to vote on Survivor Nicaragua this week, which is all the evidence even a casual viewer needs as proof that this season isn’t going to rank among the best ever. But Jeff is always honest, and though he hedges a bit, he basically admits this season sucks—which we could have guessed since he didn’t spend pre-season interviews talking about how great this season would be. “You can’t judge a season until it’s over because if it ends well, then that will make a big difference.
