Work Out »     by Andy Dehnart / January 11, 2012, 8:33 AM Surprising news emerged yesterday, almost five years after the death of Work Out cast member Doug Blasdell: He inspired a character on Desperate Housewives, as he was the trainer of its creator, Marc Cherry, and actually died at Cherry’s house from salmonella poisoning. Doug died in 2007 and all we learned back then was that he was being treated for a brain tumor; the direct cause of death wasn’t mentioned. The show’s star, Jackie Warner, didn’t want to exploit Doug’s death on her series, Bravo did just that , as did Andy Cohen in a blog post , back when he was only known as a blogger. The reaction all around, both in the episode and in promotion of it, was pretty disgraceful. No comments Nicollette Sheridan has reportedly dropped portions of her lawsuit against ‘Desperate Housewives’ creator Marc Cherry. The actress – who became famous as man-eater Edie Britt in the first five seasons ABC series – has agreed to remove her claims of discrimination and harassment based on sex, age and sexual orientation. However, she is still continuing with her allegations of assault and battery and wrongful termination. Last month, the 47-year-old star decided to leave the claim of intentional infliction of emotional distress out of her case against Cherry, ABC and Touchstone TV so she could avoid undergoing a psychiatric or physical examination. Morrison (who plays Will Schuester, a teacher and Glee club leader at McKinley High) tells Britain’s Glamour magazine: “J. Lo definitely wants to (appear on the show). The American actor, formerly of Beverly Hills 90210, told The Sun that playing a hunk and knowing that he would be constantly walking av=bout shirtless made him nervous. The 37 year old said: “I was dreading it. I’ve never played anyone labelled as a hunk in anything. The actress – who played man-eater Edie Britt in the first five seasons ABC series – has reportedly decided to leave the claim of intentional infliction of emotional distress out of the case against Cherry, ABC and Touchstone TV so she can avoid undergoing a psychiatric or physical examination. Nicollette filed a lawsuit against the parties in Los Angeles Superior Court in April, claiming wrongful termination, retaliatory termination, assault and battery, discrimination based on sex and age, gender violence, breach of good faith and intentional infliction of emotional distress – the charge which she has subsequently dropped. The new charge application was filed on December 17, but is subject to approval from the judge presiding over the case. November 21st, 2010 by Lisa McGarry. 1 Comment TERI HATCHER has quit her starring role on DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, according to a U.K. report. The actress has played Susan Mayer in all seven series of the drama since it hit screens in the U.S. in 2004. But Hatcher has reportedly told executives at America’s ABC network the next season will be her last, so she can work on a new show. A source tells Britain’s Mail on Sunday, “Teri has given in her notice and is making active preparations to move on. “She has another production deal in the pipeline and she is in the early stages of developing a sitcom that she wants to start work on immediately after she finishes Desperate Housewives – she wants a new show in time for the mid-January pilot season.” The publication also suggests Hatcher’s co-star Felicity Huffman is planning to leave her role as Lynette Scavo after season eight. The report continues, “ABC hasn’t announced its schedule yet because the future of the series is up in the air. So...
