Legendary Dallas actor Larry Hagman has signed up for a guest role on Desperate Housewives.

The 79 year old star will play grump pensioner Frank Kaminski, the fiance of Stella Winfield (Polly Bergen).

Stella’s daughter Lynette Scavo (Felicity Huffman) takes an instant dislike to Frank and accuses her elderly mum of marrying him for the wrong reasons.

Larry, best known as oil baron JR Ewing has admitted that he never watches TV, adding to The Sun:

“I better start so I can see what the show’s about.”
