Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will include suicide prevention PSAs, a special intro

Bravo announced this morning that the Sept. 5 premiere of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will stand, and the season will include PSAs about suicide prevention. That’s in response to the death of cast member Russell Armstrong, who killed himself and had complained that “Bravo bastards” created “bullshit” about his life. Bravo president Frances Berwick said in a statement, “Given that these episodes were filmed months ago, the producers of the show taped a brief interview this week with several of the cast members to introduce the premiere. Re-editing of the episodes is still underway.” She said the network “has partnered with the Entertainment Industries Council, Inc. (EIC) to raise awareness about suicide prevention,” and will be promoting the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (800-273-8255) online. View the original article here

The vignette will recap the alliances they made and betrayed, their eventual elimination and how their strategy might have been altered if they knew they had a second chance at redemption.” Those segments, CBS said, will be narrated by Jeff Probst and selected by Jeff and executive producer David Burris, along...
