Speaking to this week’s heat magazine, Francis who now stars in E4’s Made In Chelsea says: “We had a bit of a thing a while back, but I have always been an ambitious person and I want to achieve my own notoriety for what I’ve done.” Francis, 22, added: “That’s why I chose not to pursue it any longer, because I didn’t want to be the boyfriend of some child actress.” Asked if the pair keep in touch, Francis replied: “No, but we do share a lot of mutual friends and our paths cross from time to time.” He gushed: “I actually really like Emma. She’s a really cool person. She’s a very different person to who she is in the media. That’s what I liked about her – she’s very interesting.” This week’s heat magazine is on sale now (Tuesday). ...

Harry Potter stars try modelling

After spending the last 10 years operating under one of the highest-grossing film franchise of all time, Harry Potter stars Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) and Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) have decided to follow in the footsteps of their glamorous co star, Emma Watson, and try their hand at modelling. Starring in the latest advertising campaign for the US fashion label Band of Outsider’s, the couple were pictured in a selection of ‘geek chic’ staple pieces for the new look book in a Polaroid-style shoot taken by BOO’s leading designer Scott Sternberg. More ironically, the shots were taken at the aptly named LA clubhouse and restaurant, ‘The Magic Castle’. Modelling the new AW11 menswear collection, the pair are almost unrecognisable from their magical alter egos, with Felton’s signature pale complexion replaced with a healthy Los Angeles glow and Grint’s roughed up style replaced with a prim and proper scarf and sweater combo. Sources report that Rowling’s episode will see cameras following the author to both UK cities Edinburgh and London before travelling to Paris. Read more to find out why it didn’t work out…The Hollywood Reporter says the former season nine mentor was in talks with the network to join the show as a judge. “I had a blast on the show,” Connick tells the magazine. “They asked me if I was interested. We had some preliminary conversations and it just kind of fizzled out.” The Hollywood Reporter says Connick’s judging spot went to Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler instead. Popular American Idol mentor Harry Connick, Jr., was asked to be one of the new judges for the show’s 10th season, but said that talks “fizzled out,” though he didn’t say why. That freed him up to do Dolphin Tale, a movie about a boy who befriends a dolphin with an artificial tail. Talking to TV critics last night—after charming the pants off of us with a performance to promote his upcoming Great Performances special on PBS that includes footage of his recent Broadway run—he said that he would have liked to become a permanent judge. “They asked me if I was interested in doing it, and I was interested. It was just I had a blast on the show,” he said. “I just thought it was fun talking to these young people about singing and stuff.
