But then the judges chose three wild cards to give us a top thirteen. Two of those wild cards, Stefano Langone and Naima Adedapo shared their thoughts on making it in to the wild card spots. American Idol finalist Stefano Langone nearly died after being hit by a drunk driver in 2009, but last year, he was arrested for DUI himself. He described the accident during his audition , during which he said that “living through that and being in a wheelchair … that just makes you so much hungrier.” A few months before his audition, Stefano “was pulled over and arrested at 2:35 a.m. on May 16, 2010 in Kent, Washington,” Radar reports that he and “submitted to a breathalyzer test in which he blew .098 in the first sample and .088 in the second sample, both above the legal limit, as well as failed numerous field sobriety tests.” Radar has published his mug shot and the police report , which says that Stefano answered “no, sir” when asked if his drinking “Long Island” drinks had affected his ability to drive.
