Ethan Zohn and Jenna Morasca weren’t thrilled about The Amazing Race’s stupid sign twist , which makes sense because they were eliminated at least in part because of it. But the episode’s other eliminated team, Ron Zeitz and Bill Smith, actually praised the twist in a post-elimination interview. As a fan of the show, Bill said it was “cool” and “exciting” to encounter this new twist. Here’s what he said in an interview with TV Guide : “…what’s cool about The Amazing Race is that they’re always adding new twists, and I think that’s what makes it so exciting and why we’ve loved it all these years. Following the show’s debut, there was controversy: two of the three states featured on the show have suspended their programs, and the show and the programs it features have been criticized. The series, which takes at-risk teenagers into prisons to see the reality of prison life, is fascinating, though after a few episodes, it sometimes feels a bit repetitive, and inmates and officials seem to frequently over-rely on scaring the kids with threats of prison rape. Bryan Kirkwood – executive producer of the BBC One show – explained the “dark” story, which shows Ronnie Branning discovering her newborn baby dead and then swapping it with Kat Moon’s child, will be countered with other scenes showing “friendship, fun and festivities”. He said: “We took great pains to make sure the rest of the episode showed a community with a lot of love. We see a lot of friendships, fun and festivities, and we hope these counter the inevitable darkness of this story.” In the graphic scenes, Ronnie (Samantha Womack) is seen brushing her lifeless baby with the back of her hand, while Kat (Jessie Wallace) is in blood-soaked pyjamas as she’s rushed to hospital by her husband Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) after suffering from a haemorrhage . It wasn’t Bristol Palin’s choice to compete on Dancing with the Stars, according to one of her self-proclaimed friends, Margaret Cho, who also competed on the 11th season. Instead, Sarah Palin forced her daughter to do the show because she blamed Bristol for her loss in the 2008 presidential election.
