Teresa Giudice Defends The “Jokes” She Made About Caroline Manzo

Were you able to catch the season finale of The Real Housewives Of New Jersey last night on Bravo?  If not, you missed Caroline Manzo getting upset when she found out Teresa Giudice’s new cookbook had an introduction that mocked her and one of her sons.  Let’s just say Mama Manzo wasn’t happy with what Teresa wrote.  Keep reading to find out what Teresa has to say about Caroline. 

It all started with Teresa’s new cookbook, Fabulicious, which had just come out.  In true Teresa style, she mixed in some gossip with her recipes.  Teresa thought the comments were “funny”, but let’s just say Caroline wasn’t laughing.  Teresa bashed the way Caroline made her meatballs, which I guess is a big no-no in Italian families!  Teresa also went onto say that Caroline is “as Italian as the Olive Garden” Ouch! But Teresa followed up that comment with, “I’m a huge fan of Caroline Manzo, even if she is only one-sixteenth Italian, or whatever she is.” Caroline is a big girl and can take those jabs, but it’s when Teresa made a comment about one of her beloved sons that really pissed her off.  

So what does Teresa have to say for hurting one of her friends?  Teresa laughs it off writing on her website, “My cookbooks are not bashing books. They’re fun and funny and unique…like me.”  Yes, Teresa you definitely are unique!  Maybe if Teresa would have stopped at this comment, we could possibly see her point of view. However, Teresa goes onto say that Caroline is just jealous of her. Teresa shares a story that Caroline was also trying to write a cookbook, but no publisher wanted to pick it up.

Caroline did receive an apology from Teresa, but we aren’t sure how that went over.  Maybe the reunion, which airs next Sunday, will give us a glimpse into the status of their friendship.
