In the lead up to leaving EastEnders, Steve John Shepherd has promised fans a “gruesome and gothic” Albert Square exit. Fans of the hit BBC soap will know how Shepherd’s character, Michael Moon , is currently at loggerheads with his estranged wife, Janine Butcher ( Charlie Brooks ), in a custody battle over there young daughter, Scarlet. Janine up-sticks and left the soap six months ago, leaving Michael penniless and holding the baby, after she believed that he was only after her for her inherited millions. In her absence Michael stepped up to the role of both mum and dad to the child, with a little help from his appointed nanny, Alice Branning (Jasmyn Banks). The network unsurprisingly renewed the series, noting that it is one of its three highest-rated series. This will be its fifth season, and next year, the network will also air a series following Sea Shepherd’s campaign in the Faroe Islands , which I reported on for a future story. Sea Shepherd’s current Operation Divine Wind has a new weapon: long-range drones, one of which was donated by New Jersey’s Bayshore Recycling Corp. Sammy Milewski had a one night stand with the actor last year and gave birth to baby Greyson two months ago, however he has yet to meet or contribute to the child’s welfare and the new mum told The People: “I honestly thought that once Jack had proof that Greyson was his son he would do the decent thing. Paula Lane couldn’t have been chuffed when she found out what Jack P Shepherd said about their kissing scenes on Coronation Street. Is it possible that the Associated Press has no knowledge of Animal Planet’s outstanding reality series Whale Wars , which documents the Southern Ocean battles between Sea Shepherd conservationists and Japanese whalers? It certainly seems like that, because in a story about Sea Shepherd finding the whaling fleet —before they were able to start whaling—the AP’s Kristen Gelineau writes, “Every year, Japan and Sea Shepherd make claims of aggression against each other, but the accounts are generally impossible to verify.” Impossible to verify? The series, which is not mentioned at all in the article, makes it very possible to see exactly what happens during many of those confrontations.
