And Pat’s funeral is set to be a similarly emotional event when it’s aired on January 13th. We have sneak peek pictures for you, and spoilers from the episode. No comments EastEnders star Nitin Ganatra has told Inside Soap that the forthcoming scenes in which a fire decimates the B&B – and kills at least one person – are “spectacular”. As fans of the show will know, Doctor Yusef Khan (Ace Bhatti) will die in the inferno, while Tamwar Masood (Himesh Patel) is to be left horribly disfigured by burns. It’s also expected that Masood – who is of course Nitin’s character – and Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) will be injured in the fire, which is started deliberately. Nitin said of the fire scenes, “It was really exciting to do. There’s a lot of action and it’s spectacular… “It takes place on Boxing Day and there are lots of twists and turns. Endeavour is written by Russell Lewis (creator of Lewis, Kavanagh QC and Cadfael, and writer of Inspector Morse, Spooks and Murphy’s Law) and is made by Mammoth Screen for ITV1. Shaun Evans (The Take, Come Rain Come Shine) will step in to John Thaw’s shoes to play the younger version of Colin Dexter’s iconic character, giving the audience the chance to discover the origins of the detective famed for his love of crosswords, classical music, real ale and classic cars. Set in 1965, the story follows the hunt for a missing schoolgirl which draws Endeavour Morse back to the place which will ultimately shape and define his destiny – Oxford.
