No comments Laurence Fishburne has announced that he is leaving “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”. The Emmy Award-winning American actor has served two-and-a-half seasons on the crime drama but has reportedly decided to hang up his TV hat and turned down the option to renew his contract, as he wants to return to a full time movie career. CBS bosses were not thought to be surprised by his decision. “Nobody expected him to be on the show for 7 years, it’s Laurence Fishburne,” an insider told Deadline. Laurence Fishburne joined the cast of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in 2009 after William Petersen (aka Gil Grissom) left the series. He made his debut on the ninth episode of the 9th season as a college professor and former pathologist whose area of expertise involves some criminals’ predisposition to commit acts of violence.
