The gay character, played by Bruno Langley, left the ITV show in 2007 and shared the ITV1 soap’s first gay kiss with Nick Tilsley. Hreturn is sure to send shockwaves around the street, especially with his mother Eileen and brother Todd and pal Sean. A source told the Sunday Mirror: “Todd was a hugely popular character and his gay kiss was a landmark moment. ['Coronation Street'boss] Phil Collinson is aware the show has a lot of gay viewers and feels there should be more characters they can identify with. “When Phil contacted Bruno about making a comeback he was over the moon.
