A Los Angeles Unified School District director told the Los Angeles Times , “Our feeling was that his time would be better spent or invested in other communities.” A letter sent from the school district to producers said that budget cuts and the time commitment impacted their ability to participate, and also said, “While we appreciate your interest in our school meal program, we believe our direct work with nutrition experts, health advocates, the community, schools and students is the most effective strategy for our continued success and improvement.” As a result, producers have apparently decided to shift the focus for the second season, as ABC is now ca

No, we didn’t fall out of love with Tyra or the top models or the show — in fact, we watch it religiously each week — we just couldn’t find the time to properly write about it. But, after the recent “meat episode” we were inundated by hate mail from people who don’t understand the meaning of a fan site and couldn’t quite comprehend that we had nothing to do with that episode nor could we do anything about it and they just wasted 10 minutes of their life even writing us an e-mail. Hmm, guess that wasn’t a complete waste of time because it did rouse us (and this site by proxy) from our slumber and you can expect to see episode commentary here beginning next week with the Cycle 10 season finale. The TV funnyman only got married in India last month but already his new bride has started telling him to wear. In his first TV interview since tying the knot, he told ITV show ‘Loose Women’: “The other day, I put a shirt on and she went, ‘You’re not wearing that shirt are you?’ I thought, ‘That’s actually happening? That’s a thing off a sitcom.’ That happened in my actual life. The animated series – which focuses on the exploits of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie – has been commissioned for a 23rd season which will start in autumn 2011. The landmark episode will be broadcast in 2012 and the next run of episodes will extend ‘The Simpsons’ record as the longest running American primetime entertainment series. Executive producer Al Jean: “That you get to keep doing it is the greatest thing. That we got to do 50 of these, much less 500, is a thrill.” Jean insists one of the biggest challenges facing the team now is trying to keep the storylines fresh and original after 500 shows. The preview also shows a closed hotel room door with someone inside snoring away. There is a voice-over saying, “Has anybody seen them yet today?” Is it possible that a racing team sleeps through the entire challenge?

Was it just me (or the alcohol I was drinking) or was Tyra’s crazy switch not flipped this week on America’s Next Top Model ? I suppose there were enough highs and lows from all the other girls to make up for it. Once again, the episode started with Bianca lamenting her placement in the bottom two.
