Cynthia Bailey–model, mom, and the newest addition to Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta–says that being on a reality show isn’t as easy as it looks. Why does Cynthia call filming “emotionally and mentally exhausting”? What’s the real deal on her rumored feuds with Phaedra and Kim? We’ve got all the details. Keep reading!

One thing that Cynthia Bailey has learned since becoming a Real Housewife of Atlanta, is that being on a reality show is anything but easy.

“Before you go to shoot scenes, you always feel like you’re being set up for sabotage [Laughs],” Bailey told TVGuide.com in an interview. “You have to mentally prep. ‘OK, I’m getting ready to go have dinner with Sheree [Whitfield]. What could she be getting ready to throw at me?’ It’s tiring trying to figure out what landmine I’m about to step in.”

And the drama doesn’t end when the cameras stop rolling. Bailey also talked to TVGuide about her relationships with Phaedra Parks and Kim Zolciak, which are often talked about in the tabloids.

Of Phaedra Parks, and more specifically, the limo ride where Phaedra called Cynthia’s fiance, Peter, “dirty” because he has kids from  previous relationships, Cynthia says, “That definitely didn’t make me a big fan of hers, and as you can see, she doesn’t have a whole lot of nice things to say about me so far: I’m not pretty enough to be a model, my house is not nice enough…”

But despite the rocky start, Cynthia doesn’t harbor any bad feelings for Phaedra or Kim, even though she’s been accused of “targeting” Zolciak in the media.

“You know, the press asks me about everybody, and then they run with what I say about her. I wasn’t targeting Kim,” Bailey explains. “They’d say, ‘Do you think Kim is Celine Dion?’ No, I don’t think she is Celine Dion. We definitely had some text messages about this situation.”

Cynthia adds, “I respect Kim. I didn’t get to shoot with Kim a whole lot, so I don’t have a great relationship with her to say a whole lot about her. …I’m completely supportive of any ventures she wants to do when it comes to singing, I’m fine with it.”
