Home > Drama > Charity ball and soap star football match to honour Emmerdale producer, Gavin Blyth January 30th, 2011 by Sarah. 1 Comment The stars of both Coronation Street and Emmerdale are to unite to play a charity football match in honour of the late Gavin Blyth. Gavin of course worked as a producer on both shows, so cast and crew of both soaps will attend a charity ball and play the match which will take place on February 19th. The stars will gather Hilton Hotel in Manchester, with the ball to held in the evening following the football match. Gavin of course died late last year after a short battle with lung cancer, and all proceeds raised from the event will go to a cancer charity Macmillan. What’s On TV reports that among those playing in the match will be Danny Miller, Marc Silcock and mark Charnock from Emmerdale.
