22-year-old actress Emily Head, who stars as Carli D’Amato in E4 comedy The Inbetweeners, has revealed that she’ll “never” go back to Magaluf having filmed there for the show’s spin-off movie.
Emily revealed that during filming for The Inbetweeners Movie, the cast stayed in a £7.50-a-night hotel, which had no locks on the toilet doors.
She said, “I’d never go back to Magaluf! We filmed the movie there and the hotel we were staying in cost £7.50 a night.
“All the floors were wipe-clean and none of the bathrooms had any locks, presumably because people pass out in them. And the walls were so thick, you could hear everything.
“As for food, there was Mr Pizza Burger and things covered in gravy…”
Emily – whose dad is ‘Little Britain’ star Anthony Head – also revealed that she didn’t want to let her grandparents know the name of the crude sitcom when she was cast in the role.
She explained to Reveal magazine, “When I got the job, I didn’t want my grandparents to see it, so much so that I wouldn’t tell them the name of the show, but my dad did!
“So they watched an episode on a plane and said to me afterwards, ‘They swear a lot don’t they? You were very good.’ Nothing else was mentioned.”
