Former Saturday hit show Stars in Their Eyes is reportedly set to return to ITV in a newly revamped series.
The show, which was axed five years ago, will undergo some changes in format when it returns to our screens.
A show insider told the Daily Mirror, “Basically this is Celebrity Stars In Their Eyes with an additional guessing element.
“Instead of the star coming out and saying, ‘I’m going to be…’ they perform a song, and the audience has to work out who they are…
“They’re tweaking the old show and calling it Guess the Star.”
In a pilot episode, which was filmed in Manchester earlier this month, TV host Nicky Campbell impersonated Liam Gallagher.
One audience member said his performance had been “hilarious”.
The original Stars in Their Eyes, which was hosted by Matthew Kelly and then Cat Deeley, aired from 1990 until 2006 and attracted audiences of up to 13 million.
