Earlier this month, ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition design team surprised Earnie Graham, a single mother of two in Augusta, Georgia by telling her she would receive a home makeover. Read on for all of the details and sneak peeks at the episode…

Earnie Graham is described as energetic and enthusiastic. She faces adversity with strength, grace, and a smile.  The loving but strict mom is raising two girls on her own, works full-time, attends college, and yet manages to find time to volunteer for the Girl Scouts of the USA.  The Grahams, who live in a small, deteriorating house, found out on December 2 that the design team at Extreme Makeover Home Edition, along with Beazly Homes, would build them a new home in just seven days.

Earnie Graham realizes that one does not need material possessions or a lot of money to spread good will. She was so impressed by the effect that the Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia had on her own daughter, Tiffany (now age 22), that she began working with them, first as a receptionist, and now as the co-coordinator overseeing cookie and nut sales.  She also volunteers at Camp Tanglewood Girl Scout Camp.

That same daughter is now in the police academy and hopes to someday work  in the FBI.  Earnie’s son, Timothy has slept on the couch ever since graduating from his crib. Work on a new room for him came to a halt when his grandfather, Erbest, got cancer.

The Grahams headed to the Disneyland Resort while Ty Pennington and design team members Paige Hemmis, Michael Moloney, Ed Sanders, and many volunteers built their new home. There is no word on when the episode will air, but check out The Gaston Family and Mariah Carey recap!
