Coronation Street: Gail McIntyre and Tracy Barlow have a catfight

‘Coronation Street’ viewers will see Gail McIntyre and Tracy Barlow have a catfight in sensational scenes over Christmas.

The Weatherfield stalwart (Helen Worth) will attack street super-bitch (Kate Ford) when she sees her in the Rovers Return pub following her release from prison.

Gail wants revenge after Tracy tried to frame her for the murder of her late husband Joe McIntyre.

The attack will be witnessed by everyone in the pub, putting Gail in the frame when Tracy is found bludgeoned and covered in blood on New Year’s Eve (31.12.10).

She will be discovered lying unconscious in the street by ex-lover Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson), who will also be a suspect as well as his wife Becky McDonald.

A production source previously said: “Anyone expecting things to calm down in the wake of the tram crash is in for a shock. The coming weeks are set to be a rollercoaster, climaxing in a huge drama on New Year’s Eve when someone attempts to murder Tracy.” Tracy will also set out to seduce Gail’s sons David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) and Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) to cause more upset for Gail.

She returns to the cobbles tonight (24.12.10).
