Transformers 4 casting recruits Chinese actors from reality television. We previously reported to you that Paramount Pictures was going to produce Transformers 4 as a Chinese co-production with China Movie Channel and Jiaflix Enterprises, and that the content of the new movie would have a lot more Chinese influences. And what better way to do that than have a Transformers 4 Chinese Actor Talent Search, right? The competition style show will start in June of this year, and will have four judges, including Transformers producer Lorenzo DiBonaventura, and they will choose 4 Chinese individuals, two with acting experience and two without, to join the cast. The Chinese film market is one of the largest in the world, second to North America, and many studios are trying to appeal to the Chinese culture and audiences as much as possible. The third installment of Transformers, Dark of the Moon made a ton of money in China, bringing in around $165 million. Also, much like the rest of the world, reality television is one of the most popular forms of entertainment in the county, so this show may make a lot of financial sense. Transformers 4 is slatted to be released in theaters June 27, 2014 Sooooo, thoughts on this? Do we like the idea of using reality tv to cast actors in the new film? And, are any of our Chinese fans planning on auditioning?? Let us know down in the comments, and make sure you thumbs up this video and sub to our channel. From our studio in Hollywood, Im Erin White.
