Glee is set to return to our TV screens early next year with its sixth and final season, but it doesn’t seem like Chris Colfer is too sad about the hit show coming to a close.

In an interview with EW Morning Live radio, Chris Colfer revealed that he’s not upset about the end of the musical comedy… Yet.

“When the final shot of the final episode is done, I think I’ll be sad then”, Colfer revealed. “I think I’m gonna have to wait until it’s absolutely over to be sad, [that's] when it’ll hit me and I’ll be able to feel it. But now I’m just like, ‘OK, got another season to do.’ But it’ll hit me when it’s over; it hasn’t quite hit me yet”.

But he won’t be sad for too long. In the same interview, he revealed his next big project – portraying the composer and playwright Noel Coward.

Glee: Kurt

He revealed that the role is incredible, but he didn’t know an awful lot about him until he was approached to do the project. Chris should be well suited to the project, as the pair are very alike in some ways – the fact that both of them grew up in the theatre, and they’re both writers, actors, and musicians. He added that it’s also astonishing how much he accomplished as such a young age.

So what can we expect to see from Colfer’s last outing as Kurt Hummel on the sixth and final season of Glee?

Thanks to Jane Lynch, who famously played Cheerios coach turned Principle, Sue Sylvester, we already know that the show will be back in Lima, Ohio in the halls of McKinley High.

We also know that we may be seeing the return of ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ and ‘The New Normal’ star NeNe Leakes, who guest starred as Roz Washington. Leakes recently told Entertainment Weekly that she’s crossing her fingers that she’ll be back.

However, Leakes isn’t the only former cast mate expected to return. The show’s co-producer Ryan Murphy told TVLine that the execs will be reaching out to all the regulars on the show, the original group of glee club members, and teachers. Basically, anyone who wants to come back for one final get together will be more than welcome.

Glee: The Back-Up Plan

Fans are surely hoping that the nostalgia will pay homage to Cory Monteith, who played Finn Hudson on the show since it began in 2009. Monteith passed away one year ago this week following an accidental drug overdose.

“This year, what we decided to do was to remove the equation of anybody coming in and taking Finn’s place, because I don’t really think that’s possible”, Murphy said. “I think that worked out quite well. I really liked dwelling on Rachel’s (Lea Michele) career again. She’s going to be a star”.

However, what many fans are wondering is whether or not Berry will have a new love interest. Though Berry and Hudson were not technically together in the show when Monteith died, Monteith and Michele were very much a couple off-screen. Murphy said the idea is being debated at the moment, but it’s a tough one to judge.
