Things seemed to be going well for Kailyn Lowry on the season premiere of Teen Mom 2, but unfortunately, we can’t say the same for Jenelle Evans. The famous mom shocked and angered viewers by announcing her plans for an abortion. In the midst of this controversy, Kailyn made a point of defending Jenelle.

Jenelle Evans clearly didn’t learn her lesson during her first disastrous pregnancy, for, as we learned the other day on Teen Mom, she found herself saddled with another unwelcome surprise. She moaned, ““I just keep asking myself, why, why didn’t I make him wear a condom?” But of course, at that point, the damage was done. Jenelle believed she was ill-equipped to deal with a second unplanned pregnancy, so she ultimately decided to have an abortion.

Clearly, many Teen Mom 2 viewers found this approach problematic. One fan of the show took to Kailyn Lowry’s Twitter page to ask “You’re an amazing mother…[Jenelle's abortion] doesn’t sicken you?” The loyal friend responded, “Everyone goes through different things. I’m pro-choice and I wasn’t in Jenelle’s shoes.”

A very grateful Jenelle quickly learned of Kailyn’s response and made a point of thanking her profusely. In a Sulia post, she explained that, in the midst of all the abortion backlash, “Having friends like Kail is what helps me stay strong. She is speaking out on her opinion of being pro-choice, and I appreciate that so much!”

Do you agree with Kailyn Lowry? Did Jenelle Evans make the right choice? We know you have an opinion and we want to hear it — sound off in the comments section below!
