CBS announced today that Survivor Cagayan will debut Feb. 26, about a week later than usual, though it will have a two-hour premiere. That’s likely to get out of the way of NBC’s coverage of the Winter Olympics, which ends Feb. 23—the day The Amazing Race’s all-star season premiere.
A press release notes that Survivor’s debut will be “the first two-hour launch since Heroes vs. Villains on Feb. 11, 2010.” It’s unclear, though, if this is just the first two episodes stuck together, an easy way to deal with moving the premiere a week later without affecting the rest of the season.
Cast members for the next season include a baseball team president, a former NBA player, and an MMA fighter.
