Kim Kardashian And Kanye West Make Barbara Walter’s List Of Most Intriguing People For 2013

She may not be getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame anytime soon, but Kim Kardashian has made the list for Barbara Walters’ list of “Most Fascinating People” – and so did her fiancé Kanye West! The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star and her rapper baby daddy were just revealed as two of the newslady’s top ten most intriguing people of the year, and I can already envision their reaction when they heard the big news. I picture them sitting in their hotel room, surrounded by bottles of Cristal, giggling nonstop and congratulating themselves on being the greatest people in the history of human existence. Am I right or am I right?

In fairness to them – and to Barbara, since it was her call – Kimye has generated a ton of publicity this year, grabbing headlines and transforming themselves into worldwide household names. I mean seriously, who hasn’t heard of Kim Kardashian or Kanye West? (With the exception of tribal people deep in the Amazon rainforest, perhaps.) Anyway, the Most Fascinating People title is kind of deserved, at least when you consider their massive celebrity status.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star and the rapper have also had a big year, likely another notable factor in them securing one of the coveted positions on Barbara’s list. Kim’s spent half the year being pregnant with Yeezus Jr., so of course there was the constant scrutiny over that. When little North West made her debut in June, there were more nonstop headlines about the couple and their elusive child. And of course there was Kanye’s over-the-top proposal to Kim in October, which garnered the duo even MORE attention.Kanye’s knack for being controversial (Confederate flag coats, concert rants, feuding with Jimmy Kimmel, etc.) also didn’t hurt.

While I don’t personally agree with Babs’ choice to include Kimye, I can see why she did. They are an official Power Couple, and whether you love them or hate them, they are indeed fascinating.

What do you think about it? Did Kim and Kanye deserve to make the cut? Sound off in the comments!
