Jenelle Evans’ Child Support Payments Suspended

Looks like Jenelle Evans is officially off the hook for her monthly child support payments! Until now, the Teen Mom had been shelling out $130 to her mother each month — and with good reason, as Barbara Evans was contributing a lot of time and effort towards caring for little Jace. Now, we can only hope that Jenelle chooses to spend that extra money wisely!

It’s nice to see Jenelle Evans turning over a leaf, spending more time with her son and, for the most part, keeping out of trouble. The reality star did make yet another court appearance the other day, but for once, it had nothing to do with violating probation. Instead, as an insider explained to Radar Online, “Mrs. Barbara Evans was in court with her daughter Jenelle, and she agreed to stop having Jenelle pay the child support.”

At $130 a month, Jenelle’s child support payments weren’t exactly extensive, but with MTV out of the picture, we can’t imagine the reality mom had a ton of spare cash to spend on babysitters — even of the grandma variety. Now, it’s up to Jenelle to use that money to actually care for her son, as opposed to taking the old, irresponsible Teen Mom route and blowing it on drugs. But it looks like Barbara Evans has full faith in her daughter, for, as Radar’s source pointed out, “Jenelle has told people that she has money and that her mom thinks she is doing really well now so she is going to see how it goes without the child support for a little while.”
