New Girl ‘Keaton’ Spoilers: Schmidt begins drinking from the bottle… of Mayonnaise and Cece & her cheating ex reunite
New Girl continues this evening on FOX and it seems like Cece is ready to get back to being herself… but it isn’t going to end well.
Cece has been locked away in her apartment for a good while now, ever since it surfaced that Schmidt had been taking her for a ride, along with Elizabeth. The big story at the beginning of the season was that he had been playing both girls off against each other as he couldn’t choose which he wanted to be with the most. The end result? he lost both of them.
While Schmidt seems to be getting on with his life (and Nick is now rich.. or was before he blew it all), Cece has been locked away in her apartment but that is all set to change on tonight’s new episode.
Tonight’s episode is titled ‘Keaton’ and the guys attend a Halloween party. Cece is persuaded to go to the party after she is told that under no circumstances will Schmidt be there… but guess who is there! Schmidt!
“What if I promise you Schmidt won’t be there?” Jess tells Cece.
Hannah Simone who plays the role of Cece says that seeing Schmidt at the party gives her character some sort of closure. But the question is – where does this leave the pair after the party? We reckon they’ll go crawling back to each other in the end.
At the beginning of the episode however, Schmidt is that depressed he’s eating Mayonnaise out of the tub. Nice move Schmidt. You may be wondering why this week’s episode is titled ‘Keaton’? Well Schmidt used to write to a pen pal for over a year and he was led to believe that his friend is Michael Keaton, only to discover that it was his mother who started it, who then passed the burden on to Nick.
When Jess finds out about the whole Keaton thing, she encourages Nick to bring him back and begin writing to Schmidt again to get him out of the rut that he is stuck in at the moment.
“I just got Schmidt not to come to the party,” Jess tells Nick.
Nick replies: “Keaton hasn’t written to Schmidt in three years, we have no idea how Schmidt is going to react.
