Ever since American Idol‘s very first winner, Kelly Clarkson announced her engagement to Brandon Blackstock, fans have been wondering when the couple would tie the knot, and more recently, rumors of an upcoming wedding were fueled when we learned that Clarkson and Blackstock had applied for their marriage license. Well, it’s official folks, Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock were indeed married this weekend!

American Idol’s Kelly Clarkson is no longer Miss Independent! The 31-year-old singer wed her fiance Brandon Blackstock yesterday! “I’m officially Mrs. Blackstock. We got married yesterday at Blackberry Farms in TN, the most beautiful place ever,” Clarkson Tweeted this morning, along with a few beautiful pictures, that you can check out on her Twitter page. She was definitely a beautiful bride!

According to E! News, the couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony surrounded by a small group of friends and family, which included Blackstock’s two children from his first marriage. Clarkson admitted in the past that the wedding planning was overwhelming, and she even joked that the couple may end up eloping. She later dished to E! that they decided to plan a much smaller event for their big day.

Clarkson and Blackstock met through Clarkson’s manager, who also happens to be Brandon’s dad. The couple got engaged last December after about a year of dating.

Congratulations to Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock! We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!
