Katy Perry iTunes

The day has come, the iTunes Festival 2013 finishes tonight with the beautiful Katy Perry taking to the stage to a packed Roundhouse in London.

I know I’ve said this numerous times now but what a month it has been. There have only been a few acts that I hadn’t heard before but checking them out at the iTunes Festival has definitely led me to finding new music that I probably wouldn’t have checked out before.

When you put the month into perspective it has been incredible. Day 1 we had Lady Gaga and Day 30 (today) we’ll witness Katy Perry hopefully unleashing some new material to the world.

Katy Perry may have been knocked off the top spot recently in the Official Singles Chart by Jason Derulo but we don’t imagine that’ll stop her from stealing the show.

The beauty is due to release her forthcoming studio album ‘Prism ‘on the 21st of October (in the UK – 22nd in the US) and she has already released the lead single ‘Roar’ which topped the charts in the UK for two weeks.

Katy has also released ‘Dark Horse’ as a promotional track from the new album and earlier this morning she tweeted another new track ‘Walking On Air’ which you can hear at the bottom of the page.

Katy will take to the stage from 9pm tonight and prior to her performance fans will get the chance to see Icona Pop from 19:00 and Iggy Azalea from 19:45.

The iTunes Festival is completely free to watch (and attend if you were lucky enough to win tickets). Streaming will begin from 19:00 if you’re interested in seeing the above acts.

Remember all previous performances are also available to watch on iTunes completely free of charge if you missed any from across the month.

Katy will take to the stage from 9pm and we’re sure it’s a performance you won’t want to miss.

Have a listen to her new track ‘Walking On Air’ which is taken from ‘Prism’ below.

How to make: A fashionable cake

The Stella McCartney ‘fruit print’ has become one of the most iconic patterns for the season, with high street brands such as Zara following suit. However, the look can be fairly difficult to pull off unless you’re a stick thin model, so we’ve found a way to get your fashion fix and your hunger fix for a fraction of the cost of a real Stella. Courtesy of Apollinas. Ingredients: Directions Heat oven to 350°F. Butter two 8?, 9? or 10? round cake pans, line the bottoms with greaseproof paper, butter again, and dust with flour, tapping out the excess. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; set aside.Using an electric mix, beat the butter and sugar on medium-high until fluffy – this will take around 2 to 3 minutes.  Mix in the grated zest of the oranges and lemons.  Beat in the vanilla, then the eggs one at a time.Reduce mixer speed to low.
