In the episode of Emmerdale that airs on Tuesday 29 October, Laurel and Adam put pressure on Moira to get rid of her houseguest, but Moira says he’s not well enough to leave yet.
As the man tries to talk to Laurel, she launches herself at him just as the police turn up, and both of them are arrested. But who will be charged?
Elsewhere, as Chas tells Betty that she can’t face going to Alan’s funeral, Victoria’s stressed to learn that the pub, which is having a refurb after the flood, won’t be ready for the wake and so asks Declan if they can use Home Farm instead. However, Megan’s annoyed when Declan tries to charge a fortune for the venue.
On Wednesday 30 October, Victoria puts pressure on Jude to lie about being ill so that Ashley can officiate at Alan’s funeral service.
Later, the villagers all head out for the funeral and a procession of motorbikes soon arrives along with Alan’s coffin.
His daughter Steph (Lorraine Chase) makes a surprise return, handcuffed to a prison guard, but her arrival makes Victoria even more stressed as she tries to hold the funeral together.
Meanwhile, Katie walks back in looking ravishing, and Declan is thrown to see her…
In the village, Alan is given a heartfelt send off, and later at Home Farm, the wake commences. However, there’s high drama when, during the wake, Steph escapes from her prison guard!
Can she get away for good?
At Butler’s, Moira’s injured houseguest tries to find somewhere to live after Moira tells him he has to leave. So when he sees a letter from Declan, he forms a plan.
Later, Moira arrives at the wake and Laurel soon tells her she’s a terrible friend. Ashley backs Laurel up and shocks Moira when he quits his job at the farm.
Back at Butler’s, before leaving, the wounded man asks Cain to help him to steal Declan’s car, suggesting they split the money when it’s sold.
Will Cain agree?
Also, Declan goes to see the bank about turning Home Farm into a hotel, Amy tells Victoria she’s been writing to social services about Kyle, and a promoted Jude tells Ashley he should try and become the village Vicar again.
