The new season of Dancing With The Stars kicked off last night and some of the celebrities definitely rocked the dance floor, while others seemed a bit stiff. So, who topped the leader board? And whose performance brought everyone to tears? Details inside!

Dancing With The Stars kicked off last night and it seems as though they may have hit the jackpot this season with good dancers. Even Len admitted at the end of the show that he has never given out so many 7's or 8's so early in a season. Topping the leaderboard for the premiere was Glee star, Amber Riley who earned a whopping 27 with her partner, Derek Hough for their Cha Cha Cha. Amber proved that women don’t have to be stick thin to shake it – she definitely inspired us!

On the other end of the spectrum was Bill Nye, who admitted recently that he watched his rehearsals back and he thought he looked awful. Nye performed a very stiff Cha Cha Cha with new pro Tyne Stecklein, and the judges only seemed to be happy when it was over. The Science Guy scored a measly 14 out of 30 for his first performance, and he is definitely in danger of going home next week.

The remaining stars fell in the middle, ranging from 18 points to 24 points, but for Valerie Harper, her score made no difference to anyone, as she got a standing ovation before her performance even started. “It’s good to be alive and it’s better to be dancing,” Harper said after her performance, bringing Carrie Ann Inaba (and most of us at home) to tears.

The biggest shocker of the night was definitely Snooki. After watching her fellow Jersey Shore star, Mike The Situation Sorrentino embarrass himself a few seasons ago, we were all wondering if she would be as much of a train wreck as he was. But the tiny star, who claimed she was out to “prove to everyone that motherhood has made her grow up,” rocked the dance floor and proved that she clearly did not take lessons from Sorrentino.

What did you think of the premiere of Dancing With The Stars? Who did you think was the best last night? Who are you rooting for? We know you have an opinion and we want to hear it. Comment below to share your thoughts with us!
