Brooklyn Nine-Nine is one of the brand new series’ that we’re really looking forward to here at Unreality TV.

Andy Samberg is better known for playing the mysterious and quite evil character of Junior on Under the Dome at the moment on CBS, but his role on Brooklyn Nine-Nine will show him in a completely different light.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine stars Samberg as Detective Jake Peralta. He is a talented, but carefree police detective at Brooklyn’s 99th precinct who, along with his eclectic group of colleagues, are used to having a lax captain around the office.

However, things will change on tonight’s show when Captain Ray Holt (Andre Braugher) turns up to whip the officer into shape, especially Peralta.

Jake’s colleagues are a brilliant and capable bunch, but they have a lack of discipline and leadership. Ultimately, the team compete with each other, annoy each other, gossip and flirt.

In one of the promo clips released ahead of tonight’s premiere, we see Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero) collecting information from a shop owner who has had laptops and cameras stolen. In the background, Peralta is playing with a keyboard instead of doing his job.

“The next time I see you, I’d like you to be wearing a necktie” Holt tells Peralta. However, the next time he does see him, Peralta is wearing a shirt and a pair of swimming trunks.

In another video, he and Detective Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz) are seen using powerful fire extinguishers to power themselves across the room on desk chairs.

It definitely looks like Nine-Nine has a lot of potential to be a successful comedy and Samberg is a face that we all currently know.

We’re looking forward to the premiere of Brooklyn Nine-Nine which kicks off at 8:30/7:30c on FOX.
